Happy for Chris. I suspect that he'll be in charge as a caretaker around Easter time.

Sets him up nicely for the main job in the championship next year

Not really sure where to put this but interesting snippet on one of Tails Athletic articles where he mentions that Freuler has had conversations with Cooper about how demanding and intense adapting to English football has been.

I find it interesting partly that they've chosen to leak that specific insight both for Freuler but also for Bade who is referenced on the next line of the article. Doesn't sound like they've given up on him yet. Although given we're likely to be in the market for a new CB that may change.

WTF Brentford won at Man City 1-2.

Not a bad day with Southampton, Everton and West Ham all getting spanked.

Come on Arsenal!

Leeds lost after leading three times too! Happy days

Arsenal 2-0 up away at Wolves.

Such a shame we couldn't have held on to a few more of the leads we had - the Everton one really stands out. Still, at the World Cup break we're still right in the mix and with not too many players away it's more time to gel.

Plenty of teams in the mix. We've more than a fighting chance of staying up. Couldn't be prouder.

You see it on Bench Cam and full time the togetherness. Coops is creating that again. Love the man

You reds!

This is the first time since before week 1 where I genuinely believe we'll stay up. We seem to have finally caught up. Just find a decent striker and we could have an enjoyable second half of the season.

We've been playing with this low block for quite a few games now and apart from Arsenal, no team has really taken us apart. I had doubts that we'd get sussed and teams would find a way against it but it hasnt really happened.

And you look at the table now and you can really see teams who are worse than us now. As you say, this hasn't been the case up until this last fortnight. We're bound to have another dip in form, that's inevitable, but you can see the togetherness of the team now and I'd hope that would see us through that difficult time.

But for the next six weeks we can sit back and relax a little. All those who deeamed and predicted a 10th place finish might actually be on to something.

Most seasons there is a a bottom 6 with usually 2 of those teams miles adrift and down by March.

Wonder if this year it could be different with 8 or more in the mix right up until the end. Think it might be all very close with just a few points separating 12th downwards.

It's a bit early for this but 4 of our last 8 games are against Man United, Liverpool, Chelsea and Arsenal.
