Nottingham Forest - Brentford

Ive just seen the challenge that gave Man City their penalty. OMG. It was as light a touch as the challenge on Dennis. Pathetic. This VAR is really a bag of crap. Is the game any better off with it?

I don't get stuff like this.. 23 years outside the premiership, and all our fans want is to ether have relegation as long as cooper stays with us forever, or we just get enough points to beat Derby,

Why does the opportunity to establish our selves as a good premiership team appeal to noone these days

Totally agree. Not happy here.

Count me in too.

Think we played a higher line today and that was the trade off. McKenna was at fault for the second but on both hendo should be much further off his line. We played well today for 40 minutes we made them look very poor. Second half they changed quite a bit and it became a bit of a stalemate. Their goal was a defensive horror show but we dug in and got the least we deserved in the end. VAR was not impartial today - simple as that. The ref actually just didn’t give any decision - and should have stick to his guns on the one he did. Yates is not outside the box- there is contact on both Dennis and MGW. By the standard set for the game the video ref should have at least given mariner the option to look at the MGW one again.
Aurier was good - Kouyate too until he ran out of steam. We also played some good football to break the lines today in the first half.
Brentford were poor and it’s an opportunity for 3 points lost.
We made two mistakes and got punished both times - can’t remember Brentford doing anything else other than one cross.
I also don’t know why Johnno and Dennis weren’t swapped for a spell - think Dennis should play more to be honest - he looked quick and with more game time would be sharper.
Shout out to surridge too as he won a key header in build up to our equaliser.
MGW- first game he has looked the real deal.

Think Brentford without Toney get done by nearly every other team though.

This.
I thought hendo was an upgrade but imo samba would have made as many saves as dean and his distribution is light years better meaning it wouldn’t come straight back so much.
I’m not criticising hendo directly, just suggesting the system and our slow CB’s needs a sweeper keeper and samba fitted that role much better.

Aurier is signing if the season for me. Hes calm and effective and I reckon could get even better if he had better players around him. He plays like he's trying to prove the point that he belongs at the top level of the game.

Im not sure Samba would've coped very well with the amount of goals we've conceded. Im sure he would've lost his head a few times. He's was a bit of a mentalist dont forget. But do generally agree with what you say.

Also agreed.
Whether he could have kept it bottled had he stayed will remain an unanswered question.
However, given that allegedly he left in a huff and we didn’t appear to try too hard to keep him suggests to me either he remained an actual mentalist or the club thought he was too much of a risk of being one.

Can't believe Cook is only 31 I thought he was about 36.

Feel like we were robbed yesterday by VAR, frustrating as that first half was top quality, we dominated, created loads of chances whole giving none up.

I'm aware we dropped off second half but even then it's not like they created loads. Just hard to not blame the VAR decisions this week.

Have slept on it and watched the highlights back a couple of times now and it looks like it was a clear penalty to me, taking the emotion out of it.

Had it been at the other end I would have been livid had it not been given.
