Just got in and watched highlights back, thought VAR was a load of shit beforehand now I am even more convinced.
Positives.
Good never say die attitude, the best thing is Im sure there is a proper team spirit slowly developing.
Very good first half controlled the game playing some very good football
MGW was excellent throughout, the first time he has looked worth the money
Kouyate (until he runs out of steam) Aurier Williams all had good games. Johnson looked a threat for once.
Negatives
Referees/VAR. Ive given up on the rules. Hendo touched the ball, dont see how its a foul.
Ive been defending Cook and Mckenna but their lack of pace has cost us
Dennis wasteful again, runs down blind alleys and gives the ball away
Freuler again. Gave the ball away for the first, other than that what does he do?

Im sorry but today's performance at the end of the first half and the whole of the second half was totally unacceptable. Again!. It was like watching an f-ing car crash as the players yet again got totally overrun from a winning position. This is now the third game at home against teams we should be competing with where we've collapsed. And Cooper just stands there watching the whole thing unfold right there in front of him. Same old stuff from him. No consistency in selection, no striker on the pitch, schoolboy errors, chances missed, goals gifted. Same old f-ing stuff and but for a lucky own goal it would've been same old result.
If Cooper stays we go down without a fight. Its as simple as that for me now. Nice bloke but he's honestly not got a clue how to be competitive in the premier league.

I said at half time to my dad that for the first time this season we've seen an opposition side who look worse than us. And then what happens, we hand them the game from nothing after totally bossing them for 35 minutes.
We were guilty of missed chances that will have put the game to bed and yet again we can't score.

This consistency on team selection a few are banging on about.
Most of you were screaming for more signings with the logic that in the PL its a squad game, we need different players for different tactical situations etc .
Well you got the load of signings you wanted. Cooper is rotating some but leaving a core who he trusts. Looked at The opposition strengths and style of play decided he wanted a mobile front 3.
So you all complain that he isn’t keeping the same 11 out there.

This front 3 of 3 from MGW, Lingard, Johnson and Dennis is just pathetic. Not one out and out striker in any of them.

Yes happy with the first half but not the sloppy goals conceded. To be fair apart from he lack of pace the defence was solid.
But play like the first half consistently, keep the never say die attitude and we might just have enough.
I agree on the striker but dont think we have one good enough at the club to be honest. I get why Copper brought Dennis in but I would play either of Awoniyi or Surridge ahead of him.

I dont know what he's got against Surridge. Why does he give him just 2 or 3 minutes to make an impression? Hes the best finisher in the club.
And I wouldn't describe it as a never say die attitute. For me it was more a get out of jail attitude. We only had pressure at the end because they tried to close the game down and took off their attackers. Their keeper was hardly troubled reall, 2nd half.
