Firstly it seems entirely semsible to bring in more senior pros to support the youngsters. Why the likes of Aurier and Kouyate are being talked about in a negative way is beyond me. Whoever was responsible for that I applaud.

Re the sackings of the scouts, we just dont know what their brief was. If they reported in and said that 100% Awoniyi is better than Davis, Williams better than Spence, Freuler better than Garner and so all the former should be signed, and the latter not, then they deserved to be sacked imo. But if they were simply presenting the these players as options for the club and others made the final decision then their sacking seems harsh. We dont know and will probably never know.

When stories like this from Unwin come out its always the result of someone within briefing them. And that someone will have a certain agenda. For me, this is someone preparing the ground for the sacking of Cooper. It could well be later tonight.

You can tell I think from team selections who cooper wanted. Williams was thought to have a higher ceiling than Djed. Toff and obrien cast aside for Lodi and freuler. MGW ever present.

More defensive subs than attacking.. that won't win you a game.. if Brightons forwards turned up that would of been another 4.0 sadly.. we were lucky to grind that out.. cant decided if its a performance from the hughton era or megson one
