I think he gets Brighton, Liverpool and Arsenal. You wouldn't want to drop a new coach into that series of games.

I can see a point in those three for cooper or a new manager!
Talking to a wolves mate last night - he has his own criticism of his own team but said we were the poorest team he’d seen in the premiership since they went up. He said they are in trouble themselves but we have nothing at the moment apart from a ‘game’ Yates who needs to play football and stop moaning.

By the same logic a bit unfair to decide Cooper’s fate on getting a result out of those 3 games?

I accept though that 0 points probably equals the sack.

I think he'll get till the World Cup or out after Brighton if it's embarrassing. One or the other, don't see the point in giving him Brighton, Liverpool then Arsenal, then sacking him without the chance to play Brentford and Palace.

I think that the thing that worries me most about our situation is how so many of players are performing below their normal standard. Last season most played above what was expected and that coupled with a very positive togetherness on and off the pitch was special. Something has changed that so that the likes of Johnson and Toffolo are underperforming and Worral has been dumped. If Mr Cooper is unable to turn that round then with great sadness he will have to replaced. I don't know how much of what's happened is his fault really because it seems to me that so many new players and staff leaving to be replaced by a crowd of strangers was bound to create a mess.

No, he had the opportunity to get points from those games plus Villa and Wolves. So far he's on 1 point.

Hard to argue with the turnaround in the players performance levels from Ch to Cooper though, pretty much the same group with Spence added late. So was Spence the key to everything?!

I think our tactics worked better in the championship as most teams lined up this way anyway. 

In terms of changing manager, the question is are the players once again underperforming or are they just not good enough and this is their level. probably somewhere in between but will anyone else be able to get them to reach their peak this season, I'm not sure. Would rather show loyalty, continuity and long term planning personally. Allow Cooper to learn at this level as well as the players as opposed to another manager coming in and inevitably going down anyway.

Every manager who's been successful and then gets sacked always gets another go at another club. That doesnt mean its wrong or right to sack him.  Sometimes circumstances mean that the manager has to go. Im sure the people at the top at Forest didn't want to sack Houghton at the time but it was universally agreed that he'd run out of road with us. Cooper's getting to that stage now unfortunately. Its very sad as he's clearly a hugely talented bloke.
