Qatar 2022 & The Forest Involvement

It looks as if we will have eight player's from our current 25 man PL squad involved at the upcoming Word Cup in Qatar.

Henderson
Hennessey
Williams
Lodi
Niakhate
Kouyate
Johnson
Freuler

It's going to be about a six week break in the PL action which is a very long time.

I understand that Forest are looking at the possibility of getting involved in some tournaments during the break even possibly abroad in Europe. It's going to give Cooper lots of time on the training ground with the rest of the squad that are not going to Qatar and that could be a great help to us. Player's like Awoniyi, Dennis, Aurier, Boly, Biancone, Bade will hopefully really benefit from having six weeks on the training ground with Steve and his staff.

Maybe in 6 weeks of training Lingard can run off some of his man boobs.

I will ask Pap if it's possible, I heard that he had tried it.

I find that once they're there, you've had it.

I doubt Henderson will make the final squad. Not sure on Lodi either on current form! Although I feel like Brazil's previous backup LB recently got injured so maybe.

That's a good point and it would be beneficial to get some time out on the pitch, more so if we are taking part in tournaments rather than just behind closed doors friendlies. At least there will be more of an edge on the pitch if there is something to play for.

To return to my favourite subject, if I had my way this is what I would have Lingard doing for 6 weeks while the rest of us are enjoying the World Cup

Brandon Aguilera has a decent chance of making the Costa Rica squad.

True but those player's are not currently here and not in our 25 man squad.

I am more focused on how the World cup can possibly help with our mission to stay in the PL then how the likes of Laryea and Horvath might feature in the World Cup.
