Probably a marketing ploy now to twist this to be Forest linked.............gets the headlines and then Forest can see who is interested in the job.

if EM thinks with his heart then Cooper gets 2 more games and is gone.

Ive calmed down now amd slept on it. I suppose the choice for EM is do you sack a decent coach, who's prived he's very capable, to try to salvage this season or are you prepared to take some pain, get set adrift at the bottom and hope he can sort something out after the world cup when we could be 8 or 9 points away from 17th.

My view this morning after witnessing the performance last night is that the problems the players are experiencing on the pitch is deeper than them simply being unfamiliar with their teammates. There's fundamenal errors being made and a lack of basic orgnaisation and preparedness. The players seem to lack basic footballing ability and look nieve. We have defenders who lack pace, no physical presence in midfield, attackers who cannot score. All over rhe pitch its poor.

Ive seen a few sides get relegated in my time. Its inevitable when the team concedes at one end and cant score at the other. Im afraid to say this team is as poor as ive seen and I'm almost certain it goes down this season without a change of manager.

So the question is does EM want to try to save the season and see if a new man can effect a miracle change or does he see that its not going to happen and stick it out with Cooper? I think he needs to try someone else, unfortunately. It pains me to say it.

What ever has gone off behind the scenes with Coopers contract is effecting the club now, I got no confidence from his pre-match conference that he was up for the fight or wanted to be here. Pains me also but something needs to change and that is either the situation that is causing conflict or Mr Cooper.

The club would be barmy to allow Cooper to extend now. In convinced theres no contract offer to accept any more, hence Cooper's numerous recent expressions of commitment to the club. I think he thinks he's out of his depth. He's begining to sound like he's beaten. I remember when Frank Clarke was acting in a simialr way when his team stuggled in the prem. He ran out of ideas too. Letting Cooper go might actually be better for both sides. It'll be a sad say when he does leave. I'll not be celebrating.

Same here. He does seem out of his depth in the PL but I will still love him forever for what he did for us after 23 years.

I am sad and will not rejoice in Steve Cooper leaving the club.

However I think we need a change to at least try and save our season and our place in the PL. I see no way back for Steve now after yesterday which lets be honest was an absolute shocker of a performance. Sadly I see no improvement at all even after breaks for the queens death and for international matches.

I don't think we should point the finger at any individual, mistakes have been made collectively.

Steve will go down in Forest history as the man who got us back in the PL after 23 years and for that he will always be very fondly remembered and every time he returns to the CG he will rightly get a standing ovation and the fans will chant his name.

Question is would we be jumping out of the frying pan into the fire? Who would gel 11 players who are obviously strangers and play like strangers. I’d still like to give Cooper time if only for the fact the alternatives currently being mentioned make me shudder.
We are going down, we’re not good enough, so I’d sooner go down with Steve Cooper who we know can get us back up, than an old has been who is after 1 last pay day.
Don’t forget Cooper has a lot to prove, I’d like to see him given time to prove it!

I too would be sad to see Cooper leave but the time is right for an more experienced manager to sort out the team and stop the rot.

I don't suppose you've heard anything sniffer about SC leaving at all ?? (don't worry if you can't say)
