It's not really about any certain individual unless there is a separate issue to the one I am alluding too.

BarryLyons posted on the previous page that allegedly SC wanted an individual removed before he would sign the contract; if correct that would be a different issue from the more general one to which you allude.

I suspect its not true.

Personally I just don't see asking for other employees to be sacked as being part of the Cooper copybook.

Why would he put a significant amount of money, and compo, on the line to make a stupid point like that? He's not Karanka or Billy.

Sacking Cooper would be criminal for me. Thanks be had my moans and still annoyed with some of his selections and stubbornness around formations but sacking him would put us back years in my opinion. He has worked hard to get the club aligned and got promoted too early if anything- but you have to take it. I think he does have some enormous challenges ahead with getting a tune out of the new squad but would rather he get a proper chance to sort it. He has earned the right.

Whatever his longevity here I think it’s unlikely he will just leave for another club.
His options are
Another struggling PL club eg Leicester in which case why?
Move abroad, unlikely
Go back down to the Championship. Again why, big pressure to repeat the miracle

Pep Segura close to being appointed Sporting Director apparently. Over the moon if true because it means we are truly commiting to Coops. Hopefully now he signs his contract.

Like I said yesterday I don't think Segura is coming here to work with Cooper.

He may go to Olympiakos to join Michel as a Sports Director but his roll could also cover Forest, in other words both clubs, if anything at all.

Now boss Cooper has told his squad to expect changes as he experiments in a friendly and considers ditching his three-man central defence. Cooper dropped captain Joe Worrall and new boy Jesse Lingard to the bench against the Cottagers but the Forest boss retains the support of the dressing room as he beds in their new players.

New striker Taiwo Awoniyi was the match-winner on the opening day as Cooper fielded eight new signings , including Jesse Lingard. Awoniyi, signed for £17million from Union Berlin, has since doubled his tally by scoring against Fulham.

But Forest staff are trying to get the powerfully-built frontman to hold the ball up better and use his strength more against defenders.

Lingard, signed on a free from Manchester United, has impressed in training with his skills but Cooper is struggling to fit him and fellow £42million new boy Morgan Gibbs-White into the same team.

Both are extremely talented creative attacking players but neither of them or Brennan Johnson are very good when the opposition have the ball and they are needed to track-back, close down and tackle.

Fellow new £12million Belgium international midfielder Orel Mangala is another star who has impressed with his technical skills and range of passing but only won four tackles in three games prior to getting injured.

It has left Cooper considering switching to a back four to make Forest more solid and compact out of possession after conceding 12 goals in their last three games

Cooper's spending spree has raised eyebrows and made Forest the butt of several jokes on social media where their team bus was mocked up as a double-decker.

But Cooper insists the huge rebuild was essential after losing five players who were on loan last term as well as veteran striker Lewis Grabban.

He said: “There has been a real rationale and necessity.We have had no choice. I don’t mind saying we would have loved to carry on last year with our team and added a few players but it was never going to happen."
