It was another routine win against the sheep shaggers.

He will always be remembered for his yellow cards to make sure that he was suspended over the Christmas period.

I thought that was Ayala?
He seemed to go out of his way to get a red on 22 December 2012 vs Watford (Thanks, Google!).

If you had told me after that loss to Warnock’s Boro that we would be playing in the PL a year on I would have suggested you go for a nice long lie down in a comfy padded cell.

Got to say I was dead against his sacking. No I didn't much like his football but I thought he had been let down by the club re transfers (Bong at LB etc) but most of all I just didn't want to go around in circles again by sacking yet another manager.
OMG how wrong was I?

I was there it was a great night and I will share a little story from what happened on the night which would never happen today thankfully. We travelled up by coach and after the match the coach pulled out from Stanley Park and bricks were being thrown and hitting the bus from all directions. Someone ordered the bus to pull up and stop which it did and everyone got off the bus and formed a circle around it. The bus then moved off at walking pace as we continued to circle the bus whilst fending off Liverpool thugs at the same time. The whole thing lasted about 20 minutes until the police got the situation under control and escorted our bus out of Liverpool. Different era back then and thankfully those days are well and truly over now.
