I am hoping for a draw, brilliant if we can start with a win, but probably a loss by the odd goal.

I can't believe it's actually happening.

Im not too fussed about the result, more want to see how we play and if we look like building something. If we look organised at the back, dont get overrun and create a few decent chances then Im happy.

Unbelievable our last game was May 99. I was still reasonably fit, had hair on my head and met Mrs M for the first time the following month.

I'm so excited for this game but will not be able to follow it as managing my own team in a cup tournament all day.

I'm thinking we have so many new parts and cogs to get into order and drilled to what is the vision of the team that we might not be ready for this game. Newcastle haven't strengthen really since the last season but still strong and know the game plan inside out. For me that is what wins the game.

I’m dreading this, feel like we’re going to get an absolute shafting and a bump to earth after what happened at Wembley back in May.

4-1 I reckon, McKenna for us.

I cannot help but think the absolute buzz and feel good factor we've had since Cooper came in, is about to end. Its been nice. Enjoyed it.

Yep, it’s been a while since I’ve felt like this.

Think we all have to accept that we wont see quite as many wins next season and those happy walk homes may be fewer. Realistically we will have to content ourselves with the odd win over the likes of Palace and Everton and that 17th place would be a decent finish.
The upside is the glamour and seeing the best teams in the world play at the WFCG and we get to go toe to toe with them.
Its a different type of feel good factor thats all.
