Other than centre midfielder I agree mate.
Think we could start with Yates and Colback if we have right no 10 and wing backs. Keep saying it, Colback will be a key player for us. Not sure why so many are so keen to write him off.
Obviously we have no depth at present. Got away with just 3 plus Cafu/Odeja last year. Currently just 2 plus Cafu/Odjeda. Total faith it will be sorted.
Not sure who is writing him off, certainly not me, but with our ambitions I think the centre of the pitch is where we need to strengthen and it seems that the man that matters in Steve Cooper agrees with several midfield targets.

I think we are rolling the dice a fair bit.
Not many proven at Premier League level.
Reminds me of when Fulham got promoted last time and spent £120m.
Hopefully we get more right than we do wrong.

I think Niakhate and Williams seem reasonably safe, or at least have high floors.
Richards and Awoniyi I would put in the gamble category definitely.
Henderson is as sure thing as you could get and arguably out of our league.
Always going to be tough if we couldn't re-sign the loans as we just had to buy a new team.

We lost 5 loanees + Samba, Horveth, figs and Grabban. That is 6 starters and 3 key subs that need replacing before we even consider anything else
We know also that the likes of Mighten, ojeda, laryea, panzo and mbe soh need more game time before we can judge them as pl ready.
It's a massive project - buying in a new team in rapid time whilst ensuring quality for good value for money. But what we are doing is targeting young players who will hopefully improve and even if we are relegated will ensure we can bounce back.
Hoping we get a few more in this week and by end of next week we will have a more rounded squad but doubt we will see all business concluded before Newcastle.

Uh-oh. That midfield looks painfully light even if we do land O Brien, need at least 2 in for me before the start, would like an older head someone with some recent PL experience too. Surely there is someone who used to play for one of the bigger clubs that cant now get in the team.
I know Colback has done it but 6 years since he played in the PL.

I thought you were describing Colback until I read your last line!

The problem with that will likely be wages. Do we want to pay a premium for wages to a player who will unlikely have any resale. It might be that we get that type of player but don't think it will happen until the end of transfer window

I wouldn’t describe Williams as safe, far from it.
As I say, we’ve signed very little with experience at this level.
