If Coops is committed he would have already relayed that to the likes of Spence, Garner, Zinc, etc and they will take him at his word.
No need to get twitchy, it’ll be done when it’s done, if the will is there.

Yes Martins been at Olympiakos a few years now. EM even stuck by him when they failed to win the league.

I was thinking more from Cooper’s end.

Cooper wont move yet no chance. There is no such thing as a safe job in the PL anyhow even if he was offered the chance of a much bigger club (he wont be yet).
He is best off giving it a crack with us where he has already bought up a huge amount of good will. Im sure EM will see him right with a pay rise.

Agreed Sal.
Steve is going nowhere. He has said so many times in interviews just how much he loves it at the City Ground. It feels to him like it is more than just his job, but has become a passion too.
The love goes the other way too don't forget and Steve knows he has got 100% all of the fans well and truly on his side (tongue in cheek rough estimate there before some smart arse wants to call me out on that figure) There aren't that many managers within the game that can boast that kind of popularity amongst their fanbases.

Of course not, this is the peak of his career so far.
Also, on your other point, I bet you once we lose a few games there's a few out there that start saying he's out of his depth etc. Will be tiring

Yes that’s inevitable isnt it. We lose 2 games and Cooper out, we only got promoted because we got lucky and he had Spence etc etc. Need to learn lessons from Norwich Huddersfield Sheff Utd and others who sacked the promising managers who got them to the PL in the first place.

Steve Cooper is close to signing a new contract at #nffc. Cooper currently in Piraeus with owner Evangelos Marinakis to discuss transfer plans & talks over a long-term deal are progressing nicely. Huge boost for the club ahead of the Premier League season.

The BEST news we could have!
There are loads of good players out there that can do a job but not many managers like Stevie Cooper!
