Happened to my local team York City, Scarborough their main rivals were liquidated and they still sing about them but obviously don't get those matches anymore. Also, in general it's sad to see a football club go bankrupt. Hopefully they get painfully saved and take years to rebuild.
I agree but the interest from Ashley appears genuine so I suspect they will survive regardless
Anyway just going to get a large bag of and read the Athletic article whilst the clock ticks down.
Ashley might end up as the owner ultimately but it's what damage happens to the club between then and now. Presumably they'll have to sell players like Knight, Bird and Sibley to keep the lights on. That will be the fire-sale that should have happened in January but never did. They wont be able to sell season tickets and they have only a handful of contracted first team players. Pre-season starts in 2 weeks apparently. Rooney will probably work for free but which players are going to stick around with all this uncertainty?

Quantum are refusing to talk to Ashley because he will not pay their fees.
Looks like the end of the road.

Is it possible to sack Quantuma for being inept? To be fair to Ashley I wouldnt pay them either although he is clearly trying to literally buy the Derby county badge and nothing else.

It is incredibly ironic and a bit sobering that this has all been caused by chasing the dream of promotion, while Marinakis has rocked up and done it in five years. Yeah there were bumps in the road but when you look at what the sheep are experiencing now they pale into insignificance.

Big BIG difference between them and us though SR. They tried to do it by cheating and rule bending.
We did it though sticking to the rules, hard work and a f*****g dogged determination!

I know, and that makes it even more ironic. Not only did they throw £millions at it they also tried to bend the rules and it still didn't work out.

It just proves the point at the end of the day that cheats never prosper.

Selling stadium for 80m to yourself is perfectly reasonable action.

Quantuma....appointed by Mad Mel......owed alot of money-they even bill the hours for talking to fan groups. Why should prospective potential owners pay the administrators.......appointed by Mad Mel......no wonder Ashley doesn't want to pay Quantuma.....appointed by Mad Mel.
I know that technically it's all above board but Boris Becker is sitting in prison for less.
