The Sheep Shaggers In The Championship With A Tenner In The Bank

When you say no-one was posting in it you mean it wasn’t as busy as you wanted it to be?

I thought there were some decent threads in there to be honest but they’ll never attract the same level of interest as the Forest ones do. It also ensured that the Forest threads didn’t get derailed onto other topics.

Now we have the Through The Seasons Before Us and nobody is posting in that either. I sometimes wonder why I bother. It's a lot of hard work that seems to go unappreciated by most until it's not there any more.

There has also been a Donate Button on the forum now for about 3 months and 99.5% of people have just ignored that too. I will keep picking up the expenses for now but there will come a day when I say enough is enough unless people contribute more to the forum and more to the expenses of running the forum.

This I disagree with Sniff.

For a start there was the Song Name Game, Word Association, Change one letter, which were used quite often. I would argue there were more posts on that than there are now in the Through the Seasons one you have swapped it for. Then there was the scope for Boxing, Cricket, the Championship, the joke thread all of which were frequented occasionally. Maybe not as often as you would like, but they were used by others besides you mate. JBL was a regular on the games, me too! Why try to fix it if it aint broke mate?

I appreciate this is your site and we have to respect that and the choices you make to keep it running, but on this occasion, I think you have got it wrong.

I also appreciate the funding of this site, which we all know you do and I for one truly appreciate the generosity you have shown towards the running of the site. If I could make more donations towards it, I would and I am sure many others would too.

At the end of the day, you can do what you like with the Forum. It is yours and funded by you and we have to respect that. But please respect the fact that we come on here for a reason, free willed. We come on here because it stands out from the others. It has different formats to cater for (at least it did have). It has responsible and interesting posters using it.

If I wanted to sit reading pages and pages of bullshit, arguments, rubbish and infantile comments, I would go on LTLF. But I don't. I come on here. Why? Not because the forum itself is any better as such. But the content made by the posters is far more interesting, intelligent and engaging. Rarely does a comment get ridiculed and a lot of us have good banter amongst ourselves without being insulting, irrational, irresponsible or unequal in any context.

I’m happy to donate
Give us a rough idea sniff and I’ll send it.
If you do it on this thread then others might pick it up too.
Happily we’ve been distracted somewhat this season :-)

I can't tell people what to donate mate. People can donate whatever they want. All I can say is that I am truly thankful for any donations made. Time flies and I have been supporting the forum for 4 years now and I'm heavily out of pocket so as I said all donations no matter how big or small are all greatly appreciated and all go towards the up keep and running costs which vary from month to month depending on what needs to be done. I don't want my investment back but I want the forum to support itself from now on through members donations if it's possible.

Anyway we should get back on track. Where is that Kirchner bloke?

Percy saying takeover should be done by next Tuesday. A local businessman is in talks to buy the ground from Morris.

Another day, another missed completion date for the takeover. Surely now the EFL have got to say sorry too late to be registered for the league fixtures.
