Surprised at Middlesbrough away support…

They do have a decent away following but I wonder if their numbers have been boosted by them having bigger away allocations at hull and preston to name just two. They had a 4k allocation for Hull (local game) and 5.6 for Preston (last game and all that was riding on it) so I guess that pushed them to the top of the averages.

First the points and then the pints….

Regarding away support you can only sell what you are given and that number can vary between clubs.

Most clubs including ours give very low away allocations these days which is why the averages are similar. There are a few exceptions like Blackburn, one thing to note is that we have had an awful lot of midweek away games and games moved on a whim to suit Sky all of which makes it very hard for away fans. Yet we still get remarkable numbers going.

Have we had an away game this season where we didn't sell out the allocation? Would surprise me if so
