The pensioner was a Peterborough fan
Holding a Forest flag? Even so, irrespective of which fans were which, punching an old man is not acceptable under any circumstances
To be fair it was last couple of minutes in the corner of "Family stand" right next to Forest fans.The old guy with specs running in and grabbing flag was the cause. The Peterborough fan who ran down and swung a haymaker didn't exactly help. Not saying the Peterborough fans deserved to be ironed out but if you play with fire....
Afterwards, a group of youths mouthed off and when confronted ran away. Bunch of plastic wannabes.
Only blot on a fun day, albeit we weren't as fluid as we'd like to be. 3 points. Job done.
All part of the matchday experience and I wish I could have been there, it's always been like that and it always will be like it or lump it. There are other sports like Snooker if people don't like the matchday experience.

I will probably take a bit of flack for this but here goes....
There were around 3000 unsold seats in Peterborough sections yesterday. It was obvious that Forest fans desperately wanting to see the game would go I home sections in these circumstances.
By coincidence the guy on CCTV duty at the ground is a close friend of a friend. In build up they had loads of intelligence there were problems coming. The incident in ONeills (their main pub) showed this to be accurate. They decided to keep a block of seats empty, so any Forest fans found in wrong part of ground could be put there.
But then they issue a statement saying any Fan's in wrong end will be ejected and they attemptedto cancel tickets bought in wrong end by Gorest if they could identify them....so of course all Forest stay quiet until 90th minute.
I only saw empty block when I watched highlights as it was along from us in same stand. Why on earth didn't they just sell those seats to Forest in first place?
Quite poor planning by their security in my opinion.

As I understand it there were about 1,000 tickets purchased in the home end, on-line over the past two weeks, that were identified back to supposed Forest fans. I’m told that the sale of these tickets was subsequently withdrawn/cancelled.
Not sure how true that is, but heard it from someone who works in commercial at NFFC

This will be nothing compared to Hull if we're un the mix on the last day. 12/13k average attendence. Stadium capacity 25k. There could potentially be more forest fans there than Hull.

Hull have cancelled the online ticket office and are screening addresses from phone orders in anticipation of Forest fans getting into the home areas it has been reported in the Hull Live

If hull don’t move home fans and give us extra tickets fool on them , surely sat in bottom half of table nothing to play for and a average attendance of 12000 the extra match day revenue would help them .

I'd have thought there'll be all kinds of stadium safety issues that would prevent them opening large sections of their ground up to away fans.
Gonna be frustrating for forest fans who desperately want to be there and they're seeing empty seats on tv.

Can anyone remember when the club hired a big screen and showed the sheep away game in the stadium? IIRC It was the game when Gary Charles scored an own goal, which was good viewing. It was a good night out I seem to remember. If we're got a shot for the hull game maybe they could consider doing that again.
