An impressive result and a good bunch.
With my old scouting hat on (now retired) I'd have picked out some Chelsea individuals- the goalscorer especially- and our front 2/3. Also thought centre back Zach Abbott looked decent. Read the danger and had all the tools you look for in a CB at 17 or 18. Then I have since read the lad is 15 and still at school!!! With the right attitude and a bit of luck (injuries etc) he could be a future Fairclough, Walker, Worrall or Dawson. (We produce alot of good CBs don't we).
This club is a seriously positive place to be right now....
If 3 or 4 of them go on to establish themselves in our 1st team that would be an amazing achievement in itself. Hopefully lots of them have a career in football ahead of them.

It is certainly a thought provoking article, but, while the temptation to get carried away with the current euphoria is almost irresistible, we should be aware there is a flip side to all of this good news.
The likes of Taylor and Esapa Osong are already attracting the attention of the big Clubs; lets hope we can keep hold of them for a while.
One of the good points is the number of local homegrown prospects coming through at U18 level; Warren Joyce alluded to this aspect in his post match remarks on Monday, he also mentioned that 8 of this team qualify to play in the competition next season - Zach Abbott, the right back, is only 15 years old.

I think we do have an advantage over the big clubs in terms of the clear path to the first team we're currently providing. Currently have Worrall, Yates and Johnson starting, plus Spence and Garner from other team's academies there is a clear path. Hopefully that keeps some of the talent onboard in the long term.

You sure. They are talking about the 6th May.
The final will be played at Old Trafford on Wednesday 11th May 2022 at 7.30pm.
We have an allocation of tickets.

Are we going to take over Old Trafford again like we did in the FA Cup quarter final in 1989.
