Horvarth with USA in Costa Rica - 2am kick on Thursday morning.

14 hr flight from Costa Rica so won’t be back in Uk until late Friday.

Jet lag and an early KO on Sat.

That’s asking a lot I reckon

That feels a bit unfair on Horvath unfortunately for him.

The game kicked off at 7pm on Wednesday night in Costa Rica (local time).

So an early morning flight out on Thursday with a 10 hour flight time will have him back in the UK late on Thursday night/early Friday morning with a plus 7 hour time difference. Still far from ideal but he might play.

There is also the possibility that he left earlier on a private jet with other Canadians who play in the UK and Europe.

Im pleased Horvath retained the shirt but why take the risk though Sniff? We have a perfectly good experienced alternative who slots right in seamlessly. No way will Horvath be mentally (and possibly physically) prepared for our game on Saturday.

So Horvarth went all that way to sit on the bench and watch a 2-0 defeat and his counterpart chosen ahead of him had a proper mare.
All of which means he might lose his place in the Forest goal but probably strengthens his claim to be USA number 1 for the finals.

I am really pleased for him. It's every player's ultimate dream to represent their country at the World Cup. Well done and congratulations Ethan (and RL with Canada).

Players will gain rich experiences playing in tournament football and the qualifying rounds. All experience which can be utilised at club level when harnessed right. It may lead to raised profiles which in turn may lead to raised valuations - good for the business side of the club - again if handled and managed well. I think we now have a back room team that can and will

I don't think they'd risk him. He has a bit of an injury history i seem to remember, so many games coming up i can't think they would throw him in anywhere near early
