We have got a good bunch bubbling behind the first team.
I think Konate will be in the squad next season. When they profiled him, he has very similar characteristics to Brennan.
Harbottle, Swan and Larsson will prob need loans next season. They are at the age where they need games under the belt. Harbottle has been very unfortunate with injuries, he has effectively already lost 2 years. But he is definitely one for the future.
Dale Taylor could well be a superstar. Got the full package and he won’t be far off next season.
And there are others very highly thought of — Fin Back, Esapa Osong, Oliver Hammond.
We really are in a good place

Yeh he’s had a good season, but again will prob need a loan next season.
Because of how Cooper has raised the levels, these lads will need to be better than ever to get in the team.

Great insight Reds, do you think Taylor will be in and around our first team next year? Really high hopes for him and Osong.

Its great to have 3 centre forwards in the academy coming through in Larsson, Swan and Taylor. Im aware as fans we have a tendency to over rate players coming through our own system. Whats the feeling R73 could all 3 make it? Who is regarded as the best prospect?

I think Dale Taylor is a certainty if he stays injury free. He basically has the lot and the expectation is that he will be in and around the first team next season.
Esapa Osong - very powerful and it will be interesting to see how he progresses next season in the u23’s.
But he is a very good prospect.
Swan & Larsson - both are 21 so need to be playing senior football next season. They have outgrown u23 football to an extent. Both will need loans as an odd sub appearance is not what they need at this point.
Personally not totally convinced Swan & Larsson are going to be championship level over next 2 years.
Taylor could well be worth a fortune in 2 yrs time IMO
Time will tell I guess.

Of Taylor- My mate (who works for a competitor academy) said he has a bit of Rooney about him. Strong and well built for his age - great awareness and can finish but is more of a second striker than a number 9. He lacks blistering pace but has a great touch and can see a pass.
Injuries have been a bit of a worry this year…
Is that a fair assessment to those that know???

A nice 1-0 win over Wolves for the U23's, Will Swan netting the goal just before half time. Good strike, swiveled on a dime.
They move into the play-off positions.
