Ryan Yates

His new contract though when he hopefully signs it should be at least that.

On another note, what kind of muppet makes a twitter account to look like the official site and post fake news? Its not even funny.

Not a chance on anywhere near 15k.

Dan Taylor previously commented that him and Joe are way down the pecking under and earn below the average of other players.

Ryan will be on less than 10k and Joe prob on about 10-12k as he signed a deal more recently.

Would imagine they are both pushing for 15k

Owd Madforit was the only Forest fan sitting in his seat with his head in his hands after Yates header nestled into the back of the net.

More, his last contract was more than that.

Wow.

Was on nowhere near that.

Having not actually been his coach i don't know if he has it in him to improve but if one thing I’ve learnt is different coaches can bring out the best in players you didn't think it was possible while others drop down. Having a consistence coach will also help. Can't keep going from one coach wanting him to be a attacking midfielder then a year later to be the deeper midfielder. I cannot stress this enough how important it is for players to become specialists in a position rather than a jack of all trades if the team and that player is going to become something beyond average.

It really is up to him to listen, learn and put the extra hours in to weed out the mistakes that have been amplified due to the team performing poorly.

The next 3 years for him will be the biggest of his career in terms of development and what we can expect from him in the future

Nice balanced post. One thing I know for a fact about Yates is that he has an exemplary attitude, work ethic to improve, is his own biggest critic and will listen and learn at every opportunity.

Ultimately I still think his future will be as an old fashioned box to box midfielder who gets fair share of goals. None of this defensive or attacking MF stuff, a proper midfielder who does his job at both ends of the pitch as well as in the middle......hopefully.

So far so good. Looking good for 6-8 goals.

I am loving Yates more than ever this season.

Even before he scored last night I was thinking he had a brilliant game. He was really combative in the middle. Won the ball back and played the spoiler role brilliantly.

Ryan Yates is integral to the success of this team. If we don’t go up this year and as predicted, joe and Brennan leave, then Yates should be club captain. He gets better and better and works harder than anyone else on the pitch every game.

Give him a new contract. Another outstanding performance. Proving the doubters wrong. Captain Yates please.

We're going to struggle to keep hold of him at this rate. Add him to the in danger list!

He is going to get a big money offer from a PL club in the summer. Hopefully he will want to stay.
