He was booked for throwing the ball into the ground afterwards.

That's interesting. I'd assumed (especially after seeing on TV last night) it was for diving.

Pretty sure he got booked for dissent.

Nope. The referee had walked away.

Johnno picked up the ball and threw it at the ground in frustration. The ref saw it and booked him.

Fair play, just assumed it was a booking for diving based on the timing/blatant dive that deserved a booking

Yeah the TV highlights are also edited to suggest it was for diving but it definitely wasn’t.

The defender did touch him but only because he hung his leg out there. VAR may well have actually given it.

Not sure VAR would have given it, but could have been 2 bookings with some of the incompetent refs we get. Needs to be a bit careful as he could be a marked man from refs perspective- as Samba seems to.

As an aside, Colback played superbly yesterday and despite numerous tangles avoided a booking I think.

BJ booked for dissent for throwing the ball to the ground when not getting the penalty. Having seen it since on the telly it could easily have been a spot kick but would also have been harsh on the defender as coming together of legs!

BJ hung his leg out. It was nothing too dissimilar to what you see 'top' strikers doing in the prem but he was still looking to go down for the pen.

The ref got it right. No pen and no booking, up until he spat his dummy out.

Correct the ball had gone but the defender definitely caught him. Thought the ref had a good game despite looking like Albert Steptoe.

14 goals for the season now. If he manages 20 that would be quite an achievement. I am now thinking even though he only has a year remaining on his contract we are till going to get 15m + for him.

If we sell. That is far from nailed on.
