Thats the real issue. The game should have been called off on thursday when accurate forecasts were available. Bournmouth knew fans were travelling a long distance to attend and chose to ignore their safety. Pathetic.
But was it Bournemouth though Pap? I maintain the decision at the time was down to Sky and I am sure that if Bournemouth hadn't have had a structual engineers report calling out the safety, the match would still have been played at Sky's insistence, irrespective of weather conditions or standards at the ground.
I agree with you that the match should have been called off on Thursday with the safety of ALL concerned being the main priority over a game of football

I travelled down yesterday, only after checking that all the way down and once arriving in Bournemouth that we wouldn’t be travelling into any red zone. Please stop with the shouldn’t of travelled rubbish. All guidance was followed and our fans were treated appallingly. No sections of the ground were taped off and the public could wonder around the stadium freely. The information on the damage from the staff at the ground was that 1 advertising board in the stadium had come loose. Bournemouth could of got the game on but decided to a derby and use the weather to suit the state of their squad. Shocking!
Bournemouth let all party’s know the game was on at 1pm (after the storm had passed) only to call it off a few hours later

In cold light of day, if QPR Fulham and Bristol City all play today then it proves that Bournemouth have been completely disingenuous. Older grounds Subject to higher wind speeds. In Fulhams case an unfinished stand I think.
People can say what they want about supporters safety, but this whole thing absolutely stinks.
How long does it take a crew to fix a few loose signs? It's been as calm as anything for hours. 3pm today would have worked for most and Forest were pushing for a game today.
I am considering adding Bournemouth to my top 5 hated list at present. Nothing against their supporters at all who are a great bunch but the club is a disgrace.
Can't see us playing them until Easter time now so even more at stake bigger demand for tickets and potentially a Peterborough style Forest takeover for the authorities to deal with.
Idiots.
Edit: If Bournemouths game is PP next week against Stoke then I rescind all the above. However, having driven over Clifton Bridge for last 2 years, if any structural work genuinely needs doing then 7 days won't be enough. Massive IF though....

If a structural engineer is put on the spot and asked if a situation is safe then 10 times out of 10 it'll be determined it's not. Why would anyone risk their livelihood by assuming risk? Modern construction thinking is all about risk and safety. In my opinion they were doing a Mel Morris and seeking a professional opinion knowing that it would legitimise their agenda.
We've been done over as a club and more importantly, our excellent army of travelling fans have been screwed over by them because it didn't suit them to play this weekend.
As a thank you we need to go down there and smash them. We're at one as a club, I can imagine the players would want to do them for the fans.

Yep and we'll be very fresh for the Preston game midweek. Maybe not the worst game to be postponed in the grand scheme of things.
Although it does seem fairly clear that they have gamed the system a bit. That said there would've been less complaints if it had been called off Thursday night or first thing Friday.

Utter bollox from muff, they seized on an opportunity to not play a game when it suited. Cannot wait to thrash them in March. Great night out mind.
