Sounds like Parker's been busy with his socket set. Still hoping that the EFL order the game to be played tomorrow ie by reinstating the original date. But they're not too bright so probably not.

Presumably the same structural enginner who told Mel Morris it was feasible to stick a roof on the sheep dip. I believe he has a brother who's a land & property valuer who specialises in football stadiums.

Its amazing really as all day everyone was told not to travel because of this storm yet people are annoyed because the game was called off. What if you travelled to Bournmouth and got struck by a tree or even worse a flying roof or something then that person would expect the rescue services to risk there own lifes to save them. All you had to do is watch the news for 1 minute and see it wasn't safe to travel. I say good call and it was predicited but yes it could've been annouched earlier. Stay safe everyone   :cool:

It's my opinion that this was down to Sky, not AFCB. The EFL should have stepped in the minute the Red Warning alerts were issued and called the game off there and then. rail companies and Bus operators cancelled all routes upon the announcement. I'm sure questions were asked by Bournemouth, the EFL and most definitely by Forest, but would have had contractual obligations thrown at them by SKY TV.

IF the game had been called off yesterday morning, the vast majority of our fans would not have made the journey, apart from those who travelled down the day before.

TBH, even with winds dropping from 100 MPH to a brisk 40MPH, it still would have seen an impact on the game and the quality of play between two very good sides.

The postponement of the game was the right decision, but the timing of it and the lack of consideration for our travelling support stinks!

Some people travelled down on Thursday so were already there.

If I had forked out 30 quid for a ticket and another 70 quid for a hotel then I would have travelled too especially because the match had NOT been called off.

Thats the real issue. The game should have been called off on thursday when accurate forecasts were available. Bournmouth knew fans were travelling a long distance to attend and chose to ignore their safety. Pathetic.
