I've not fact-checked this so it could be wrong, and it depends if you class him as a Championship player as I think they sold him in the close-season after they got relegated, but I think Bournemouth got £40m for Nathan Ake.

Heard that he hasn’t signed because the contract offer we put on the table would have kept him as one of the lowest paid in the squad. Daft because a trivial amount in the grand scheme of things and as his worth has rocketed he will want more to accept now than he would have done a couple months ago.

Sniff no ones doing that but you cant deny the gravitational pull of the premier league. All im saying is we're now in a win win situation with Brennan. He's better off too having not signed the contract he was insisting upon. If he had he'd be a brentford sub now.

I don't think any one of us are rubbing our hands Sniffer. Just being realistic. He's a special talent and we should just enjoy him while he is here.
Even commentators were saying with or without Forest he is in the Premiership next season.

I'm going as far as being disappointed he chose to represent Wales above England. I think Barnes on the other side is a good example of the level Johnson could reach fairly quickly
