Be interested in hearing what Cooper has to say. I think he left the subs too late and brought the wrong ones on.
I suspect if Back wasnt the youngster he is he'd have been dragged off at half time.
All round a bad day in the office for everyone.
We desperaly need Lowe back and a replacement for Spence. If both of those positions aren't filled early in January then its curtains for our play off hopes. We do not need to leave it until January 31st.

Silva our best player second half- some great touches and unlucky with hitting the post. I also don’t think he was swatted off easily - the one near the byline - if he’d had got a toe to it - would have been a pen. Also a pen on Johnson but refs have his card marked - VAR = pen. Zinkernagle chance is just an unacceptable miss.
Middlesbrough better than us first half but not world beaters. We struggled with our ball out as full backs not as good as Lowe and Spence. Colback is limited in that position but he is dogged.
Yates totally at fault for first goal - bloody no look pass but samba nowhere near the position he should have been.
So disappointing.

You'd image Spence would have been powering down the wing later on today with his iron lungs. But hey ho.

I’m not gonna join the pile in on Coops.
It was obvious that he would go three at the back with the first choice full backs unavailable.
Colback was always going to be selected at left wing back ahead of Bong.
Back appears to have been his only option at right wing back, despite us having a right back at our disposal earning a sizeable wedge and being fit and available.
The midfield disappeared today. Garner, Yates and Zickernagel were largely anonymous from an attacking perspective and Johnno made a marginally greater contribution.

To be honest I can see Jenkinson retiring from football, suspect he isnt even training. He has spent his entire career in reserves and on subs benches and seems quite happy to do so whilst earning pot fulls of money. He has apparently cost us over £6M in fees and wages, one of the worst buys in our clubs history.
