Hope we can agree a deal to sign him permanently after the end of the season.
Sausage I agree with what you are saying, Colback and Gueddy played superbly well on Saturday, Cash and Lolley worked hard and before being replaced could barely stand on their feet, the question mark the comes....how did Leeds dominate us so much? we couldnt hold the ball for more then 3 passes ... what was wrong? yes Carvalio was almost non-existant, but, is it possible that the below par performance of one single player could be the difference between the two teams?

Malatred, this is a concern for me too. It happened against Norwich too. We score a goal and then sit back, concede ground. Im sure this is a Karanka tactic. On both occassions, our players in the more advanced positions retianed the ball terribly. Yes, it was a good rearguard display but our wide men and forwards were awful.

I agree SR. From what I have seen of Colback this season I really hope that we can land him permanently in the summer. He has really impressed me so far.

Very confusing or is it bad journalism???
I believe bad journalism. My understanding is that he is suspended for the match against Sheffield United.

Sniffer...depends in which division we will be playing next season...for the Championship he is more then good enough...for the Premiership we will be needing much better...the position in the league of Newcastle nd the fact that he wasnt even part of their plans tells you the storey...I want us to be in the Premiership nd the summer transfer window will target players of a higher calibre then Colback...

That is a fair comment Malta, I can see what you are getting at there.

Missed Colback tonight and replaced him with that useless git Bridcutt
who should never wear the shirt again.
Big gamble by Kranky that didn't come off - this was a game where
Guedioura would have thrived.
Hey-Ho- the league is more important so lets take 3 points on Saturday.
Good luck Nigel!!!

To be fair to Bridcutt he was brilliant against Newcastle and Stoke and then he was just ignored again until last night.

To be fair to Bridcutt he was brilliant against Newcastle and Stoke and then he was just ignored again until last night. The problem I have with Bridcutt is his silly niggling fouls that he always
gives away in silly positions in and around the box.
Every time he loses or gives the ball away he has to take a stupid swipe at
the guy (from behind) who's took the ball off of him - They are meaningless
fouls that wouldn't hurt my grandmother but they are fouls from behind
that always gets him booked. To me it's senseless and brainless.
The penalty he gave away to Burton typifies all of his inabilities to put in
decent tackles - I just hope to God that he doesn't get into positions more
inside the area where he has to make any sort of tackle.
11 yellow cards in 28 games (and a ban) last season lost him his place in
the side goes a long way to why I don't personally rate the guy. If he was
to put in a full blooded tackle with passion I wouldn't be so harsh but the
little tippy - tappy trips from behind are ridiculous.

I think the biggest disadvantage of giving fouls away is that we then have to defend a set piece.

I think the biggest disadvantage of giving fouls away is that we then have to defend a set piece. Maybe that's why Aitor doesn't favour him.
He had a big chance to let his football brain do the talking vs Burton. The 'B Ten' had their chance. ...and they blew it. I guess that's why they're not in the A-10.
I think Steele and the young Academy striker are the only ones to come out of it with a bit of credit.

Strawberry.... who r the B 10? Dawson? Hefele? Janko? Osbourne? Watson? Diaz? Cash? plus Grabban? Lolley? our squad is being rotated yes, but we dont have a B team or an A team , the only players on Tuesday that can be considered as `back up` were, Steele, Gonclavez, Bridcutt and Soudani (due to injury), if we really played the B team then we would have seen; Yacob, Yates, the greek and throw in also Appiah from the start...
