Does anyone follow @FootyScran on Twitter? If not I’d highly recommend it.

One thing it does highlight is how important the match day experience has become for clubs below the Premier League level.

It would be great if we could find a niche here IMO.

Remarkable, The Table since Cooper took over....

Astonishing.   :Hat:

That table of 'form since' is truly remarkable.

In the table as is?  Forest are a win and a draw from going 5th.  That would leave them 3 off West Brom.

If Forest can get a good winning run going over December, they've every chance of breaking into the top 6.  A couple of wins should do it.

The top two in the Championship always have a wobble.  This is the time to take advantage to close the gap.

To sustain this momentum, getting the right squad depth in key positions is crucial to January.  This could be Forest's best chance in years, in what is a tight and somewhat soft league.

West Brom couldn't score against Barnsley tonight. They were pretty poor. Play off spots are wide open this season.

WBA aren't finding it that easy with their 'chosen one.'  The fans aren't happy with the style of football.

Forest made them look pretty ordinary to be honest.  A game we could have won, perhaps.

As you say, from West Brom down?

'Wide open.'

Forest are in the chasing pack and closing with the best record outside of the top two. The momentum is building.

This is Forest's best chance in a long time.  Right transfer policy.  Right CEO.  Right Owner.  Right Coach.

...with the 'Right Signings' in January?

Seize the moment, Forest.

Blackburn going great guns at the moment. Watching Grabban miss chance after chance today it made me think we could be massively better if we had someone up front like Brereton who can't miss at the moment. West Brom looked like they need a striker last night too. Brereton looks like he's the difference between the three sides at the moment. Im not suggesting we shouldn't have sold him (I thought we got a good deal on him), just that if you can get a decent striker banging in chances then its gold dust in this league.

I reckon we'll be in for a top draw striker who's under the radar.

Even if we do i dont think he'll be displacing Grabban.

Agreed.  Word for word.

Be interesting if a Premier League club comes in for him.

So we are now exactly half way through the season. Just doing a quick bit of number crunching - I know how to have a wild Saturday night me - if we take our PPG for the first half but excluding the first 7 games, we get 2.06/game. If we can average the same for the second half of the season we would end up with 81 points.
That would have got us to 4th place last season and is easily enough for a play off spot any year.
