On this day in 3/12/2005 one of the darkest days in our recent history.

A 3-0 defeat in the FA Cup at Chester City under Gary Megson.

Did you have to bring that game up Sniff,
Even worse I stayed until the end of the match, not many reds in the ground at the end,
megson picked a terrible team that day, sad day,

That was some team wasnt it.

Always preferred Lyttle at right back but Alfie was no slouch.

I think so.  Ever dependable Lyttle.  Under rated by me at the time.  I'm sure appreciating what he did these days given how history has gone since the exile from Division 1.

And yes.  'That was some team.'

Gary 'I'm part of the problem' Megson.

He fell on his sword.

I remember sitting in my bedroom listening to it on the radio and going mental. Bless me.

Following the break up of the 'Golden Generation?'  (I guess Burns, Shilton, Woodcock (I remember thinking then we shouldn't let him go) Francis et al had departed?)

Still a worthy team.  Van Breukelen (remember him), still got Anderson, Bowyer, Birtles though.  Hodge (one of the my favourite Forest players...) and Hart in there.

I do remember Davenport scoring a goal. :)
