And go for it

Not a bad shout Hebby

He would be knackered after 30 minutes.

Bong and Garner, simple.

Or Ojeda and Dräger. Equally simple.

Not really Gari. Neither have ever played for us yet. Plus Drager is right footed not left.

You're right Sniff. I just really want to have a look at Ojeda. Tutu is also right footed but he did okay on the left as I believe Dräger will do. At least not worse than Bong.

His career suggests otherwise. The same has been said about Watson and Colback in the past too.

I agree Bong probably has to play in the circumstances, but he is very far from the overlapping athletic full back who played for Wigan and then especially Brighton. Not sure why  nor if Cooper will be able to get a tune out of him, but all the evidence suggests he is no longer good enough or it just hasn't been a good "fit" for him here?

In fairness he has been in and out of the bomb squad  so can't imagine he feels exactly wanted at NFFC. Though at 17k a week, that shouldn't matter....but lets be honest...it does.

On the evidence we've seen in a Forest shirt Bong isn't good enough and we know he was due to be shipped out as he was in the bomb squad. He's not as bad as some people suggest but his career has peaked and is on a downward trajectory. That said he's what we've got and should play tonight and when needed until he's replaced.

The 'Career suggests otherwise' arguement is a bit flawed though. We have a whole back catalogue of players with good careers who didn't do it for Forest for whatever reason. Danny Fox had a good career as a full back elsewhere but wasn't good enough at Forest, though he was better as a centre half. Jenkinson's career fell off a cliff somewhere. Harry Arter played in the prem but flattered to deceive for us, though arguably might fair better under Cooper. I'm sure as Forest fans we can extend that list for ever more. The point is players with past pedigree don't always perform when you sign them even if they look a good signing on paper - Knockaert, Freeman etc

Gaeten Bong will always be remembered by me as the worst home debut I have witnessed in 30 years.

I really don't see why Bong cannot step in every now and then and do a job. Nobody is saying that he should be first choice and start every game but to fill in when our first choice is injured like tonight for example against Luton I can't see what the issue is.

Because he is a liability, and certainly in our new style of play. Why would anyone suggest starting a game with 10 men is beyond me.

Luton are a quick and energetic team that like to get in behind, bong will be exploited big time tonight.

If Cooper selects him then that is good enough for me as there are other options available.

So Cooper should get all the stick.

One thing is for sure though, if Bong does play and we don't get 3 points then at least you all have your scapegoat already lined up before a ball has been kicked.

Suspect he will be blamed for it being cold tonight and if we run out of pies at half time too.
