Think I would too. He has his limitations but generally hes done ok when hes come in. His second half at Derby was ok when we had a press on and went for them.

Id be tempted to play Spence out of position on the left and bring in Full/Drager in at right back.

Colback + Garner in the middle - Cafu/Ojeda/ on the bench.

Maybe some other fresh legs also in Silva/Mighten given we go again Friday.

In an ideal world you would swap Spence over and bring in Drager at LB but seeing as he has yet to even make a squad I would say it’s unlikely. He played and scored for Tunisia last week so he is definitely fit. If he can’t get in ahead of Bong I seriously question why he is here.

Colback to LB is the other option but would mean a brand new pairing in CM of Garner and AN Other which again i cant see Cooper doing. In theory it could be another opportunity for Carvalho though. Rest of team unchanged, would prefer us to Keep 352 we look so much more fluid.

3 Centre backs definitely at least protects Bong better than 4 at the back. Tutu anywhere near yet?

Could also consider Mighten or Lolley as LWBs. Lolley always been decent defensively and Mighten has the attacking attributes to play LWB.

Tutu is back at Arsenal for now.

Not permanently?

No not yet. He's training with them for the time being to try and get fit.

Bong is so so poor, that if your not getting picked over him then you really don’t have a future.

Bong is poor defensively and provides zero attacking threat.

We know Cooper likes attacking full backs, and in the last home games played Colback out of position.

With Yates suspended, we can’t really move Jack out of there seeing as he is dominating games.

We can’t lose the midfield battle

Aye.

Odjeda into midfield with Garner and colback to left wing back for me. Or Drager. Bong has too much baggage with the fans and Croatian will have a field day. That despite a playing record well above the standards of most of our squad…

I would rather we didnt, but play Bong at LB and he might make a mistake which costs a goal.
Play a completely new pairing in midfield which loses control and we will definitely lose the game.

And both have never played alongside each other. Stick Colback in the middle and accept Bong's limitations.

Tyrese Fornah not being involved tonight would suggest there is a decent chance he will be part of the squad tomorrow...

Ok - having put a bit of thought into this.

Won’t play a right footer at left back / left wing back as that goes against Cooper demanding balance down the flanks.

So only 2 options are Bong or Colback.

Think he will opt for Jack as Bong doesn’t give anything going forward. But if Jack plays I think Cooper will want more security at the back so Figs will come back in.

Similar to what Bielsa did when he played Alioski there
