How good has Jack been lately? A couple of goals and for me a motm showing again at Reading.

Took a while to get back from his broken leg, but despite being written off by some - seemingly including Hughton - he certainly is back now. 7 out 10 performances as a minimum every week at present.

Id say at Reading he was a 9 out of 10. He was immense and he could've got another goal if Grabban had squared it. To think we had his quality sitting in the stands under Hughton. Incredible really.

But he was downright awful when given a chance last season, a yard off the pace and a guaranteed yellow card within minutes. Was it match fitness given he had been out for a year or poor management I dont know but he didn’t deserve to be in the team. Glad that the player we had on loan a few seasons back has returned.

I think years of injuries was the main factor combined with playing in a largely losing team. It's great to see him finding his form/fitness though. I was personally pumped when he came back, had such a good loan spell. Really glad he's now justifying that signing at least a little bit. As with Grabban though, he's got to stay fit for a long period of time.

Winter will be tough, no more international weekends now. Really need to use the squad to keep players fresh and avoid injury to key players till Jan

An essential under Aitor.  Great loan spell.  And my player of the season when many picked Lolley.

He was coming back from a serious injury.  This takes time.

If you have a serious injury, ofc your form is going to be 'poor.'

Garner and Cafu were doing ok so he had a 'watching' brief whilst he got his conditioning back.

You need a player like Colback and/or Yates in your team.

I just like his 'What the **** are you looking at attitude.'  ... a bit of that bite in your team.

Colback will be a good experienced mentor for Yates.

Hit the nail on the head. In a poor team, after a broken leg never got into his rhythm.

Don't think I would swap Colback for any other midfielder currently in this league at the moment.
