Injuries And Suspensions

The two concussions my Daughter has had to deal with this season have both been goalkeepers! The first dived straight into the post and the second had the ball blasted into his face from close range whilst he was diving out at the strikers feet.

I think the heading issue is related to the long term effects on players rather than them getting concussion. Former WBA and Notts County player Jeff Astle springs to mind.

Tutu out for at least another month (can't see him playing for us again)

Soh out for 4-5 weeks, injured before the Millwall game in training according to SC. Terribly unlucky on his part to get injured just before we switched to 3 centre backs. Explains his absence anyway. Not sure why it's taken until now for someone to mention it though.

Pity about Soh as he could have cemented himself into the side.

I wonder when we’ll see Ely then?

Cant really understand why we brought in Ely if his contract is only for a year and we knew he will miss half of it recovering from his ACL. I get it is a low risk commitment but cant see him contributing much to be honest.

Tutu is suspect is crocked, feel sorry for the lad, think we will cancel his loan. Not sure if there is a limit to the number of loans you can have any more? It used to be 8 of which 5 can be in any matchday squad. That 5 in any squad remains but I think there is no maximum that we can have registered?

I wouldn't be against cancelling Desmond's loan. Spence is doing great and then we have Drager and young Fin Back as well.

We will learn one day not to obtain full backs from Arsenal. First Jenkinson, now Desmond Tutu!!

Can the lad ever be trusted not to break down again though?

No absolutely not.

The question is, do we go all out for Buchanan in Jan, or rely on Desmond and Bong as a back-up LB?
