Thoughts On The Next Nottingham Forest Manager

Having read his letter to the fans, and seen his interview I am so impressed along with others that have commented.
What I liked most was his attitude of letting other teams worry about us, and reinforcing the idea to the players that they are good. BC would never openly admit to prospective opponents being something to worry about. His attitude was " let them worry about us "  I think we have the perfect fit, and even the cynical Sky TV pundit and ex Forest David Prutton said that there are exciting times ahead for Forest. It may be a bumpy ride, but at last I think the Pilot has the right map now and knows where we need to land.

Ditto the above... was against this appointment. However, after listening to the interview he comes across very well, says the right things and all seems good.... actions though, actions speak louder than words. Let’s hope he can deliver on what he has said today.

Forest are in need of some coaching.  Whether that's in house or a transfer window.  We're probably in need of 2 players at least in the striker/CM General spots.

The youth strikers are suddenly looking very promising with the way Andy Reid is getting them ticking.  He had the team on after burners vs Birmingham.

Love to read a more grounded POV in times of optimism. Keeps the likes of myself grounded too. Both this & the point about the new structure are bang on.

I've been a big champion of having an old school setup, where the manager is more influential (esp with transfers), because I couldn't see the "coach" model doing anything but destroy us in the long term with the likes of Vrentzos, Modesto and Anigo running the show and using their methods. Same as with Pedro under Fazza, these folk have absolutely no clue about the league, what's required for success, or how to operate healthily in the Championship in general.

Now Murphy's here though, someone who knows all that & has successful experience implementing it, I'm way more open to it.

Kudos to EM for seeing what changes needed to be made, and making them.

If you have the tattoo done, that will have to be crossed out when Steve is sacked in 1 year's time.

How many Forest managers can fans fit on their inside leg?  That's a lot of tattoos.  I doubt anybody's inside leg is that 'long.'

You'll end up looking like a Russian mafioso.

Very pleased with Cooper being appointed. I think he will prove to be an astute appointment.
