Thoughts On The Next Nottingham Forest Manager

Very good fans response to Alan Tate from Swansea fans, apparently a one club man and on retirement went into coaching under Rodgers when manager there and became assistant to Cooper. They also think that with the right backing we will become a very successful club again, I hope so!!!!

I remember him as a good competitor when we played them under BD.

But, his handball  in that play off semi first leg was a pen - could have made the difference - and I’m clearly still not over it !!!!!

Nothing on the clubs website about Cooper joining us, yet by all accounts he is taking training today.

Once again our clubs communications with the fans is non-existent. Despite all of the bollocks the club spouts about its wonderful fans, they don't give a S**t about us when the money is rolling in. 

I hate being negative about the Reds, but it pisses me right off when the club most of us put at the forefront of our lives cant even show us any kind of respect or gratitude by keeping us informed of current developments or events

Anyone else thinking there might be an issue with the deal? The players will presumably be back in tomorrow to prepare for Saturday and the new coach won't be. Surely if we have chosen our man we'd want to give him all the time available before his first game. Leaving things to the last minute seems to be the way Murphy does his business.

We've apparently agree the compo, he's out of work. What can they possibly be sorting now? Has he realised we pay peanuts for wages or is it just because Murphy is away?

You seem to have a real downer on Dane

Just dont like how he hung CH out to dry with the lack of signings (particularly the timing of the singing of Lowe so he couldn't play at Derby and we were absolutely desperate for a functioning LB). And my negativity towards him was more frustration that no one on here was willing to consider he might be responsible for that even though he'd been at the club 6 weeks. We have a really hard game on Saturday and im beginning to worry we've left it late again but hopefully its all done and dusted bar the pressers. But lets not get back into all that please. This is a positive week, he's hopefully got his main man in place now and I hope we can all get behind both of them and we can take off.

Im delighted to read the Cooper's been secured in time for him to take training today (meaning Im pleased to say my fears about the club dragging its heals were unfounded). With games coming on Saturday and then midweek after every day this week with the players will be precious for him.

If Cooper can get a couple of wins with a new manager 'bounce' (Forest tend to bounce like dead cats...) then it's mid-table and game on for a brighter future.

Well, at least until we hit a rough patch. ;)

I'm quite interested in what he thinks of our Academy and the 14 players in our 1st team squad which players he'll develop as well as which ones he'll want to bring in January.  (A striker as a priority and a battle general with more experience in the centre of the park.  Garner isn't ours and will be gone next Summer.)

I hope he gets more than '1 year' to develop our Long term Plan (B.).  But that is always subject to results.
