- lots of energy.
- Many good performances.
- Yates bossing MF after all the stick he has received.
- Lolley looked like...well Lolley again
- Grabban with a proper diving header - Robboesque
-Young Jonnos assist-should count as a double assist.
- Supporters, awesome.
- Steven Reid has 100% win ratio
- He won't say owt, but even Unwantlee might crack a brief smile...then again.

Negatives
- One swallow doesn't make a summer.
- Sheep won
- Still bottom......for now.
- Last 10 mins we were out on feet.

The season starts here...

I get that reference as I was there v Cologne and THAT goal still brings a tear to my eye, as does the Barrett strike v the scouse

God I bloody enjoyed that trip to Udders today. To a man I thought forest were excellent. The 3 certainly made us look stronger at the back, the pressing especialling in the first half was brilliant.

We need some more of that. Hope at last. The supporters were superb too. Now for a beer on the way home to celebrate.

I would echo that sentiment; even an additional two hours on the journey home due to the M1 being closed could not put a dampener on events.

There is more than enough in that side to pull clear, and there are players to add - Zinckernagel, Drager, Tutu, Silva and Ojeda

What a difference it's made having the shackles taken off. Although I think it's fair to point out that Spence and Lowe made a huge impact, and gave us the wing back option in the first place, so the signings have made a difference too.

It seems to be falling into place, and I actually think we're starting to operate much better all round since Murphy arrived. Some wanted Hughton gone earlier, but I think giving him a chance and ensuring we had a plan for after his departure made more sense. Not to mention ensuring we landed Garner first too.

I do think Udders were caught off guard by how much we changed our style, so I'm getting not too carried away with it all yet. Baby steps and all that. Had they been prepped for us better I don't think it would have been as comfortable.

But it's a great start to what we can only hope will be a brilliant new dawn.

Have seen that Chris Sutton has had a go at the players asking why they didn't perform like that for CH. Thought he knew about football - what a dickhead. They played like that for a variety of reasons. We have struggled with the FB positions and the players we have signed are more suited to attacking than defending, so wing backs are perfect for them. Our strength is in the CHs we have and playing the system we played yesterday suited us defensively and in attacking. The players were given more freedom to play and that is testified by JLs instagram comments. With 3 CHs and 2 WBs to cover defensively, the CMs had more freedom to play without worrying too much about defending. Thats why we played like we did yesterday CHRIS SUTTON!!!!

Yep, udders wont have done their homeowrk on us as a back 3 and that showed in the first half an hour. They were all over the place.

Millwall will be much more prepared but if we play like we did yesterday amd add in a good weeks training and confidece boost we might do well against them too.

Amazing what a win does to moral of players and fans.

If we stick with 3 4 3 I suppose there is a chance of Carvalho contributing as part of the front 3; he does not have a hope in hell of playing in that middle 4, who were immense yesterday.

Spence was tremendous, my mom by a country mile; Lowe was very good as were Yates and Garner; the manner in which all 4 of them combined to shut down their midfield was fantastic to watch.

In comparison to other games this season, the back three had a relatively easy ride yesterday.

The 3 CHs seemed to suit Forest. With the wing backs pushing up into the midfield area. Liked the higher press.

Spence.  Tasty performance yesterday.  Lowe.  Actually fullbacks.  What a difference.  The system seemed to suit the players yesterday.

Huddersfield seemed lost.

Yates and Garner seemed like different players.  Even Lolley and Grabban came back to life.

Yep.

I think that performance against a resurgent Huddersfield tells us all we need to know.

And with the other '5' players in 'reserve' we should have more than enough to pull clear.  It's still very early days where a couple of wins can do a lot for your league position.

Getting the '3' points so we don't get caught adrift very important.  Another win would re-set the start of the season.

Hopefully a new manager 'bounce' will get things back on track.
