I really like Wilder but does he fit into a longer term strategy based around youth, pathway from academy to first team etc? Or is he another appointment based on previous CV? I know the piece in the Post talks about him being happy to work under Dane and with a younger squad but how long would he be happy to do that? I'm torn over Wilder on the one hand I do really like him, like the football he plays and I think he'd get the best out of this squad in the short term but I just don't know about the long term with him, feels almost like another flavour of the month appointment.
You could argue that 90% of appointments made in this league turn out to be short term appointments.
I know we would all like a manager to come in for 3 or 4 seasons but when does that happen nowadays.
And you could argue that short term is all we can thibk about considering the clubs position
You're right but we want Murphy to start implementing some of this strategy he's keen on.

Alan Knill- we’ll have him on the staff tho please
"True North" much more succinctly put than what I wrote. Just doesn't seem to quite fit does he? I'd back him if he does come but just not 100% sure he makes a dream team with Dane et al.

Exactly how I feel on Wilder.

Is that Gary Brazil?
SA.
No think again SA, think when it all went wrong for Karanka when we made the appointment...
Ah yes.
I remember...
Cosy on a bench.
Self inflicted that was.
We just couldn't let Aitor be, could we?

He knows how to get teams promoted.
With robust. Dynamic. Progressive. Football.
Couldn't accuse him of 'bore' ball.

Still at forest as the DOF, just do not have a clue what he does. It is a crucial role in modern thinking and forward planning of a football club.
Does anyone have any idea what he does as the DOF at forest?

Don’t think there’s any doubt about that but if the club doesn’t want him then it’s irrelevant.

He is certainly showing intent to try and get the job. He seems very hungry for it. Certainly got support behind him. If it is a straight choice between him and Cooper, I'd pick Wilder all day long.

I think the compensation might have a say in it.

Cooper or Wilder, I'd say we'd be better off with Wilder.
