#nffc ready to open talks with Steve Cooper, after Chris Hughton is sacked following six defeats in seven matches. Forest hope to appoint Cooper before the weekend, with new CEO Dane Murphy leading the process.
Danes choice then.
At last, Dane get's his hands dipped in the blood. If Cooper's a failure, he'll be Dane's failure and Vrentzos can be set free.

He should really plan his diary better, if he'd sacked Hughton on Monday, appointed Cooper on Tuesday then he could've been in the US by Thursday! :D

A lot of our forward thinking players are either (a) very raw and as such inconsistent or (b) have major flaws and hence playing with us at this level.
First things first, we need better results and consistency.
We don't have attacking players, that's the conundrum. If you choose a manager based on stats to suit what the club has, then he seems a perfect match, but when will it ever change?
Hughton had '2 games' with 'his' (well, allegedly) choice c or d targets. And no striker. They came in late. Almost a year (he survived without his own striker. A year.)
And the results of that train wreck were predictable enough.
In lay man's terms, I think Forest BEEPED Chris over. But he's not the 1st manager Forest have 'done over.'
I'll tap my ruby red heels (there's no place like 78/79....there's no place like 78/79...) and see what the next victim, cough, I mean 'coach', no..get it right SA, 'Manager' can do.
With a string, cardboard box and stick back cellotape.

SA you're right, Hughton got done over but if didn't like our new approach he should've walked in the summer when Murphy arrived. Hughton has said many times now, manager's never get everything they want. He had to make do and be successful with what he had, that's the football manager business. He said it himself, it was his job to get results with what he was given. Other managers like Billy D and Chris Wilder kick off and complain to the media about things like that, Chris chose to stay quiet, but they all know they have to get results with what they have, or they're out.

Yeah I saw that but wasn't sure how that would work out being as they sacked him.
Unless there was some kind of agreement that, if he moved to another club in the same division within a certain timeframe, Swansea would be due a payment.

Steve Cooper is on #NFFC's radar after the sacking of Chris Hughton. Successive play-off finishes with Swansea City and reputation for coaching/improving younger players. Not the only candidate, but the main target and I expect it will happen.
He did a good job at Swansea, but my god he's an ugly b*****d!!!
Just what I was thinking Tricks. Ugly face, nice football.
Cooper another boring negative 4,2,3,1 mercant, brilliant so much for a new ethos, we can't step away for defensive football
Yep transfermarkt suggests his preferred formation is 4231 :D
Made playoffs last year but scored 23 goals less than Brentford. The football will likely be similar to Sabri's tenure.
Also worth noting that until this season Swansea had parachute payments, so Cooper had a distinct financial advantage and a few players like Ayew left over from the prem days.
According to George Harby:
In 38 Championship fixtures last season, Cooper deployed a 3-4-1-2 or 3-5-2 system.

Only blood sacrifice and dark sorcery are going to sort that 'curse' out, Pap'.
Probably some dark rituals coming up.
But it may take more than a priest with some holy water judging by last night.

May suit the players we've got. We got 'humped' in midfield over the last few games. (Forced an error at RB last night too.)
Packing the midfield may be an option.
