I think the squad is very average ( being kind) , but I d put money on there being plenty that could get more out of them, I think he knows it’s game over, I ve not enjoyed one match under him

Listen, Plymouth.  I hear what you're saying.  It's the age old question.  Chicken and egg.

But?

Forest haven't recruited well in years.  We've got a 'nice' budget team.  6.5 our forum said.

We haven't bought a decent striker since Grabban.  There's no midfield general and no striker up front to score the goals.

We recruited at Pound Stretcher with other team's 'back up' players.

I mean.  You know.  It's a poison chalice.

We've sacked our managers all the way to the bottom of the table.

It starts at the top and works its way down.

It's not like we've got a decent squad that are under performing.

We played some 'nice' stuff.  But it's looking like a poor window.  With a style of play suited for better players than we have.

Don't quite have the players to hold the ball up.  To bite the opposition.  To get stuck in.  It's like they're playing 'balloon ball.'

How many of these pound stretcher signings did Chris Hughton actually know of?

SA.

Maybe the folk defending have never worked for an inspiring manager at work or sport with an inspiring coach or something? At some point he'll get sacked and when he does, someone will come in and we will play better, with less mistakes and more passion and we will start to earn points. Whether we're already too far behind, I sincerely hope not

I've worked for good and bad managers at work and yes perhaps the good ones have a 5-10% impact on my performance in the long term compared to the bad ones. However the point is its still a marginal impact.

No-one is defending CH performance, simply that it wouldn't matter who the manager is.

If we'd had a different manager this season and the exact same players I would expect us to be on around 4-6 points maybe at most, possibly just the same though.

I think Forest need a manager like a Billy or a MoN type.  Somebody who knows this level.  Who knows players. But I don't think we have the owners who want that.

They want a coach set up. Is my vibe.

We've given Hughton a budget, cost cutting mandate without a striker or players he knows.  Good luck, Chris.  You're going to need it.  He's been sold a pup.

We need better players.  2-3 that can impact the side.  Enough to turn the small margins into something else. You need fire power for this league.

And Forest don't have it.

Despite the result. A couple of wins will help. Who's next? Huddersfield? Millwall?

5 - 10% and 4 - 6 points extra?! Yes bloody please!! Those marginal gains hughton keeps going on about!!

Stop it SA, i still get a warm fuzzy feeling about that first BD spell - that 3-0 wba away was one of the best performances i can remember (in this league) - i think the feeling is pride but its been so long i've forgotten (shite we've been so starved of success).

I think we need someone in that mould (but not billy)

I mean relatively (apart from the cup game with wolves) we’ve not been trounced in the league never given a proper spanking. I think the players have given up with what hughton wants them to do and maybe it’s time for someone else, I hope Dane does have a maverick up his sleeve?
