No probably not but a new manager won't do any better. Unless ojeda and drager are actually Ronaldo and messi...
I disagree, I genuinely think a different manager could do better. I don’t think these group of players are as bad as the table suggests.
If they had a quality striker and some battle general Worrall type in CM they maybe.
But they have all the hallmarks of 'nice guy' team that can't defence and can't score. It was a bit like this under Calderwood before they pulled the Billy Davies rip cord.

If only billy hadn't been such a paranoid dick second time around - i would personally have him back a third time if it was between sticking with hughton or having billy back.

Agree with the above.. on paper our squad is half decent.. there are teams with weaker teams (on paper) that play much, much better football than us.
You can blame the board of being dicks to members of staff or local journos but the shit football and piss poor results is down to one man

I think there are ones more suited to this squad & situation.
But yep, they'll still have a massive job on their hands.
We've been here before. Last season for starters.
We're missing a couple of players with that 'bite' in the middle of the park and up front. Played some nice football. But it's toothless. It's the kind of football that sends you down. It's exploitable. McCarthy and Warnock sense blood with sides like that.
And even when Billy MkI was here. It was a massive struggle to keep Forest up.
We got done by two unforced errors by a workman like side. They wait for mistakes. And we gift wrapped two.

Why is our squad half decent? What have they shown to get that moniker?
Out strikers would not get in any other teams in this division.
Our left back is literally a backup for another champ team, Yates would have no chance in other teams, Garner has been rubbish so far, neither of our keepers looks any good. Our RB is either injured permanently or a boro backup.
Brennan looks like a decent player though, so we've got one good player...

Can't disagree with that.

I'm torn on whether our squad is underperforming or just terrible but there is no doubt that on the performances this season, we absolutely deserve to be bottom.
The only way to find out is see if anyone else can get this team playing better

Clubs rotten to the core top to bottom, players a disgrace for not at least putting professional pride before their wage packets and the coach for not have the dignity to resign

I know the point of the forum is differing opinions but I really don't get the defense of hughton. Maybe the folk defending have never worked for an inspiring manager at work or sport with an inspiring coach or something? At some point he'll get sacked and when he does, someone will come in and we will play better, with less mistakes and more passion and we will start to earn points. Whether we're already too far behind, I sincerely hope not
