I am making the figures up now but we will be effectively paying 3 people to do 1 job and we have been doing this for years. How about we just get someone good or even just competent (cough Warburton cough) and leave them too it.
Do you think we should leave Hughton to it?
I bet Hughton wished the Forest hierarchy had. (Pretty much seems the same way with all the other managers that got forced out.)
Upper management always know 'best.' I hope they've 'feel the burn' with Forest sitting rock bottom.
It feels like someone dropped the ball somewhere. The glaring omission being a lack of 'next generation' striker. Hughton probably can't believe what he's seeing.
The CEO said we were cost cutting. The team seemed promising for the 1st half vs Cardiff. (But there were moments of promise for the 1st four games too.)
Hopefully a win vs Boro will turn the mood around.

He'll still be in a job as manager here even if we lose, the club cannot afford to pay him off.

We sacked Warburton in 14th place after not particularly backing him.
We sacked Karanka in 7th place after backing him but the hierarchy thought we should be at least 2nd.
We sacked ONeill after a 9th place finish
We sacked Sabri after finishing 7th and a poor start, I actually dont think he would have taken is down.
What we have with CH is a disastrous start, a weak looking squad and a manger who has had a full season but shown little improvement with an expensively assembled (not necessarily well assembled) squad the previous year. I would say he has a weaker case to remain in his job than any of the above, no I wouldnt leave him to it.
So if you wouldn’t leave him to it then surely that’s because we have a real risk of relegation with him at the helm?

Sorry but that's crap, we bid more on players than it would take to pay him off. Won't be long to find out if we lose tomorrow.

I’m not disagreeing but it’s barely the case that a transfer fee is paid upon purchase in it’s entirety whereas any payoff would be a one off payment.

And how many of the bids came to anything, how many of those players did we sign, crap my arse, but as you say we'll see tomorrow, we all thought he'd be gone by now.

A chap I know who works in local media has said that CH will get until December. The board very aware that he didn't get his signings in time for the new season and they want stability.
He did also add that this was not an EM decision but one the people running the club day to day have made. EM may well decide to stay in but don't hold your breath.
If that is true then we need to start thinking about league 1. IMO that is where CH will take us.

I think this will prove to be prudent in time.
At least give him to Christmas with his 'own' (*looks) players.

I agree. It is painful at the moment, but you have to give the chap time to work with the new players. I don't like CH's style of play, but he has a proven record. He cannot just have become rubbish because he has joined us and he has been let down in my view in terms of recruitment. We have to stick with someone at some stage.
I also have massive sympathy with everyone saying he should be sacked, I just want to see if actually staying with a manager for once with reap any benefits. I just hope it doesn't lead us into League 1.

Calm heads. It's 'only' 6 games in. All the games have been pretty close. (Hughton still hasn't had 3 of his players available to him. Silva came in late. And two are isolating. That's three of his 9 outfield players.). Chris has only had '1' game with 'his' players. And they did well against Cardiff 1st half.
(A change in manager lead us into League 1... As managerial transitions don't seem to go too well for Forest.)
Here's 'Captain' Worrall. Immense maturity. Wisdom beyond his years.
I agree with everything he said.

Still this.
Even if we somehow manage a win?
I was basing it off the feeling that we wouldn't get a win from either of those games and so far that feeling is correct. If he still survives after we lose to Boro I give up.
And still this...
