"There is no trace of bitterness in his voice, or any indication that resentment is bubbling away under the surface. Indeed, Arter speaks warmly about many of the senior staff at Forest, appreciates the fact they worked with him to find a loan option close to his home in Surrey, and says on several occasions that he has not ruled out the possibility of playing for the Midlands club again.

“The backroom staff, the new CEO Dane (Murphy) and Ioannis (Vrentzos, the former CEO), who is still at the club, they’ve been really good with me and, genuinely, I wish them nothing but success,” Arter says. “Football’s a strange game, I could go back potentially at the end of the season, and I think there’s a recall that Forest can do in January if they want. For me, there would be nothing better than to see Forest being successful.”

I always said we never gave him a chance.

"There are glimpses of his own disappointment, too — a sense of bafflement he was used in an advanced midfield role in some of the matches, frustration that he was never given the opportunity to make any sort of contribution during the second half of last season to a side that spent that time on the fringes of the relegation picture, and annoyance that reports about his salary and the transfer fee which brought him to the City Ground were exaggerated. “A lot of things that were written were lies,” Arter says."

It's an odd one and I don't think it reflects too well on Hughton. Arter played at a high level for years, he wouldn't suddenly become useless.

Like with Ioannou - it seems that when the manager get something into his head then that's it, there's no flexibility.

He's not the first and wont be the last player to not be fancied by a manager. If the club have treated him well behind the scenes, as he claims, then that suggests they appreciate he might be fancied by the next guy.

If he is going to sell it'd be nice if it was just announced as done out of the blue, rather than being one of those long drawn out affairs that are tedious and so debilitating for clubs.

You can't really put a length of time on these things but wheels are turning.

If true its probably for the best. The feel good factor has long since worn off. Started with much promise, made all the right noises but sadly, like many owners, they fail to "deliver."

If they sell the club with planning granted on both the training facilities and stadium then i guess that's something.
