He also said Chris Wilder wasn’t on our radar.

If murphys gonna be dabbling for another gengenpressing manager what he likes from the Austrian league then I wouldn't mind Andreas heraf or Christian ilzer we need something along them lines, good attacking coaches

Yep, I heard that and my money would be on an unknown foreign based manager coming in. If it's stats that do the talking, which it appears to be these days, then the 'name' doesn't matter. That's of course unless it's Vrentzos who's choosing........ <dont go there Paps, Jesus>

I'm gonna put this out there and wait for the pelters.....I reckon Muphy got lucky at Barnsley - had a punt on manager who came good for him. He's unlikely to be able to have the same luck a second time.

I just don’t see how Hughton turns it around, as when you only score a goal a game, in reality you are never going to get on a winning streak.
What happens if he gets 2 wins 2 draws and 2 defeats from next 6 ?
That would be 11 games gone with 9 points and we would still be firmly in the bottom 3 at the next international break.
What does he need out of these next 6 ?
I reckon 10 points absolute minimum for him to survive.
But even then it’s only delaying the inevitable
All managers leaving? Inevitable. At some point.
If Forest get two wins they're mid-table. Probably higher than they were last season.
And about where they should be given the players they've brought in.
The season can begin to take a natural course of mid-table mediocrity until Forest bring in a striker in January.

Well, Barnsley were already doing what they were doing before he got there. Finding young, cheap, energetic players that always gave mediocre (but expensive) wages Forest a hard time.
Forest haven't been. Doing anything 'good' before Dane arrives. Ergo cleaning the 'big pile of' off the NG You Reds drive. So bad we let 14 players go that were deemed no good or surplus to requirements, that Hughton saved Forest from relegation with that pile of players is a miracle (but the ones he brought in made the difference.)
A striker, the new hundreds subs rule married with a high octane manager allowed Barnsley to punch above their weight. Let's see if they can repeat their 'one off.'
Imagine if Hughton had the Barnsley striker they had last year. Not so many draws and Forest finish mid-table.

The last 2 Barnsley managers have been poached. Struber got nicked too. His last 2 appointments have been excellent. When was the last time we had a manager poached? Was it Platt?

When was the last time Forest recruited players well?

That is a different question entirely. But Dane has certainly appointed 2 excellent managers in recent times. Struber set the foundations and it continued. When your last 2 have both been pinched that is not a bad place to be, you know you are doing something right.

SA. Last season apparently, we had one of the best teams on paper apparently, just a shame your pal hughton couldn't do anything with it, he turned a 20 goal striker in a defensive forward, how many goals has he scored with his tactics? We had a worse attacking threat under sabri, still finished better than hughton, a manager with no experience showing the great cv hughton up, not saying I was sabri back, but hughton is not as great as your trying to make out and defend him for, he's had over 50 games, and nothings changed, like you say we could have dike from Barnsley, but noway would he score the way we play

I'm not saying it's my cast-iron view Sniff, just a worry I have. I don't want to kick our new guy but I've got a worry that he's just got lucky in his last job and come across a manager who managed to get absolute 100% performances from the players in every minute of every game. Anyway enough negativity...
