I expect the truth will come out in the next few days. Wouldn't be at all surprised if Murphy walked from what I was told last night, I'd definitely be offering an ultimatum about the job if I were him.

Sorry I just dont get the blame culture on here, why is it anybody’s fault?
We havent sold a any key players so have had a limited budget to stay within P&S. We have tried a different approach and are targeting younger players, the same ones everyone else is after. We clearly havent landed some of those we wanted but thats reality with what we had to work with.

Seems reasonable to me, if people want to blame anything they should blame parachute payments for the way it allows some teams to play on a different t playing field

Or just maybe this is all BS and the owner, our former CEO, our current CEO and all the backroom teams were all working well together, trying to balance budgets and bring in the right players which is a damn sight harder than it is on Football Manager.

I don't work for NFFC.
I am just a simple fan nothing more.
Seems like I am an easy target because I have Greek family and live in Greece.
It's unfair, out of order and cowardly.
Contact the club if you are unhappy about something.
I come on here to give my opinion like everyone else but I don't spew vitriol at those who don't agree with me.
A lot of snide comments were made last night but I won't bite.

It has got nothing to do with any of those things mate, I apologise if I have made you feel that way, it has got nothing to do with who you are, what you do. We have exchanged that in PMs, all I ask from you which is what you asked from me directly and that is balance. Unfortunately for whatever reason or reasons they might be that does not happen.

When you directly come on here and say you are ready to hammer someone you open yourself up to that opinion being explored or criticised. As I would for some of the things I may post. Maybe consider the choice of words moving forward for others when you are not open to others criticising our hierarchy.

I have no issue with you what so ever and would like to debate anything with you over a pint as I have said previously, it really is not personal just a differing of opinions.

But now we concentrate on football again and see what it brings on the pitch rather than off it , and I really do whole heartedly apologise if you feel I have offended you in anyway. That offer of a pint will always remain open.

That Murphy has been massively undermined, he was already pissed off at the meddling before last night, only got one of the targets he'd identified and that none of the ones we signed were his first or even second choice targets. He's come in and immediately been shelved, just treated as a face to keep the supporters happy.

I'll say what I've been told and it's not so I can say "told you so!" If it does all come out in the wash, I don't really care if you believe me or not but I have no reason to lie or make stuff up. I'll say what I've been told because I think supporters deserve to know what's happening at the club they follow.

How confident are you in the source?

Hopefully, if true, he sees it as teething issues/handover and they can spend the next few months getting the longer term plan in place and allowing him more freedom.

I suspect there's some truth in the above and like all Chinese whispers is an exaggeration too. Would be great to hear from Murphy this week. I guess we can expect an article from The Athletic at some point in the next week too which could shed some light on things.

Very confident because again, what would anyone gain from lying about that kind of stuff?

I'd like to hear from him as well but I suspect anything we do hear would just be spin from the club. I hope he stays but he really should say "I'm the CEO give me the control as you promised, if not I'm off."

Yeah I look forward to The Athletic article if one does come.

I mean the fact Drager signed and Djed Spence is still seemingly incoming suggests a lack of harmony at the top. Two RB/RWBs with the hallmark of both CEOs stamped on them. Did we really need to sign two for the same position on deadline day?

Well last night's non excitement was of no surprise to anyone with sense, I can only say that I really thought that the big man would give the new CEO and the manager the tools to do the job that they are employed to do by the owner, but it didn't turn out that way and was of no surprise, I am not blaming the CEO for this fiasco, but I will let the blame at the owners door.

The sooner he sees sense and takes a real interest in us as he does his first team, the better for Nffc, if not then sell up and move on, to be honest I know which one I'd prefer him to do, last night's showing confirmed everything you need to know about him, he has been found wanting and we will never progress on the pitch with him at the helm.

Not that I don't believe what you say, but to answer your question (it was probably rhetorical) directly - a lot of people lie about that kind of stuff with absolutely nothing to benefit other than causing a stir. Same people that create fake internet accounts to link players to clubs etc etc. Some people close to the source could also be disgruntled and looking to cause a stir, these things happen in organisations. Who knows
