Age and experience. Massive game for a young lad with only a couple of senior appearances under his belt. His time will come, just bot today. The right decision imo.
I mean, Gabriel is 23 but he doesn't have a mass of experience. Ironically, tight games are the ones which Critchley regularly dropped him for at Blackpool.
Back has a lot more composure and responsibility to his game than Gabriel. Think it might be one we regret today.

I had a feeling Bong would start. Lowe would be completely undercooked for a game like this. If our CEO had signed him earlier in the week, as he could easily have done, then he would be starting.

Me too it's a logical decision. He's been training and preparing all week.
Lowe only rolled up yesterday plus the Derby fans would slaughter him. Doubt he's ready for that.
