No- I saw him play in the u23s the other day. The team improved when he left the field. I lauded this signing as I thought it was a master stroke! For whatever reason it hasn’t worked out. I do hope his inclusion in that squad may alert someone desperate enough to get him off our books- Warnock likes him and is welcome to him!

You are not the only one Ozzy 99% lauded it and Vrentzos was a genius for pulling it off at the time, same with Freeman.

Anyway the fact that Arter is in the Eire squad and has a chance of playing in next years World Cup surely means that he will want to be regularly playing somewhere so he might be off.

Guilty as charged mate. I was very critical of some of our signings and the sheer volume of them but I did think on paper those 2 were the midfield quality we lacked. Thats why I dont have Dane’s job and why I wont pass judgment until next week.

Same! Particularly Freeman, bit unlucky on that one with the poorly diagnosed injury perhaps

Not convinced Freeman was just injury, he looked a good stone overweight to me and whatever his fitness level I thought he would be able to ping a dead ball, he was just terrible in every way.

Arter is the other one. I couldn't for the life of me get why we went for both Colback and Arter, they could never work together but I thought Arter would have the better ability in link up play. He has obviously fallen put big tome behind the scenes same way Ioannou did, what a waste of money.

Someone in the club really needs to arbitrate the Arter situation. It's OK for the manager to take a dislike to him, that happens all the time in football, but for a £6m investment (or whatever it is) to be thrown on the scrap heap is not good business.

I understand that in the past at Oly EM has loaned out players who they value when the coach doesn't fancy them. We need to be doing similar, even if we continue to pay the majority of his wages. He's no good sitting on his arse rotting away.

The number of times I've seen Mighten fall over, I'd have thought he'd be top of this list.

We got Arter for free.  Granted, his wages are massive.  But the rumours around him costing a few million are false.  Bournemouth identified he was a dead weight and wanted rid of him.
