This feels like throwing a lit match into a pool of petrol and also hard to say too much given I wasn't there, however can I just say I didn't agree with booing the team off at half time.

0-0, Back, Gabriel, Johnson, Mighten just starting out their pro careers, Fornah on the bench to come on, academy grad Yates and famously confidence based player Figs on the pitch. Do we really think booing them when they're not even losing, in fact a relatively even first half overall, is going to be inspiring? Booing might work on a bunch of seasoned pros but not a bunch of kids. Also, to prospective players looking on (Garner etc), not exactly the environment you want to come back to.

You know the point of the game that went well, when the crowd got into it, got fired up and we scored.

I know everyone will kick off and say we've got a right to boo etc etc. Fine but you can't claim that is going to have a positive impact on the team. Given there's little fans can do to help, not booing feels like one thing we could do. 

Boo when you're 4-0 down at half time sure, not 0-0 with a bunch of kids on the field.

Booing the kids after a bright 20 minutes was out of order.

And it sure helped 2nd half, didn't it?

If Forest fans think we have it bad...check out Sheff Utd.  (And didn't they get that 'manager of note?')

I didn't even mention the ridiculous expectations despite being in the same league for 20 years, constantly wanting managers sacked after a handful of games, then worse years later claiming they were the messiah after they do well elsewhere.

I mentioned our fans on another thread but I got accused of deflecting the blame.

So, some fans wanted Hughton to play Car'. He does.

They wanted him to play 'youth' (which he does.)

They think it would be insane to drop Samba (despite costing points in each game.)

They want all the 'lightweights' in attack (which he does.)

They wanted Taylor to start (which he did.)

They critique the only stable part of the team (CM).

They wanted shut of all the signings from last year. Which Forest did.

They wanted Ventroz out.

And here we are.

There's only thing worse than not getting what you want.

And that's getting what you want.

I cenuinly think the fans were booing CH and not the players.

Better ways of doing it though as it impacts the players especially the younger ones.

The fans let the manager know their opinions of him in the 2nd half clearly. Don't agree with chanting sabri but the manager knows how the fans feel.

For what it's worth, it was our young players that stood out last night. Gabriel I thought was very good until his red. Back was excellent and I think should be starting. He will only get better.

Fornah looked good when he came on and mighten caused trouble until he was inexplicably taken off.

Booing was probably the wrong option but after being served 22 years of this I think the fans have had enough.

The concern moving forward is that the fan base is going to get smaller. The longer we stagnate in the championship the harder it will be to get young fans on board. Why support forest when they can support ready made success elsewhere. Sad fact of life but that is what's happening. As a school teacher All I see are young kids supporting the teams winning trophies.

Yeah I get that it's been tough, I'm 32 I've only known us to be an average mid table championship team. I'm not denying the reasons don't exist to boo, just that I don't see it as particularly productive personally.

I dont think opinion on here or other forums is necessarily a valid temperature check or what has got previous managers sacked. However when the mood at home games turns things usually go from bad to worse. Poor old CH has only had 2 games at the CG, even Mclaren got longer than that before we turned on him.

People want these young players to play.  But Mighten gets bullied (Getting 'the treatment' in the previous games.)  Brennan was non-existent.

Car.  Did very little bar one nice bit of skill.

That won't stand up to Championship football.  Not without quality experienced heads around them.
