You know what I wasnt going to go but if I thought this line up was likely I reckon I would. That defence does look worryingly inexperienced though..

Is Fin Back left footed R73 seeing you have him in as left back? Thought he was mainly a CM or have they been trying him at full back?

Widdow will have this straight against CH win % when we lose with this team  :D

Of course, it’s not a friendly

Do want to see likes of Konate Fornah Fernandes etc but the current first team is seriously lacking in fitness so cannot see why cannot play first team.

Think the definites to start are Horvarth, Figs, Fornah, Cafu, Carvalho, Zinckernagel, Grabben.
The other 4 who knows suspect one or two debuts coming up.

They seemed to have decent pre-seasons before preparations were interrupted.

Fornah is one to watch with his distribution.  Hughton singled out Konate for praise.  Fernades seemed very assured.

They're in the Forest squad (12 academy grads in the squad?)  So why not deploy them in cup games. Fornah, like Gabriel, served his apprenticeship in the division below. So he's used to the muck and nettles.

I'm surprised we didn't give an Academy u23 player a go at LB vs Crewe. Given the rate of injuries to the CHs we'll be using u23s before long anyhow.

I think the reason no u23 played LB at Crewe was down to the fact that CH realised he had no established LB available apart from Bong, who hadn't featured in any previous pre-season matches.

I'd reckon it'll be this:

Horvath
Gabriel Fernandez Figs ????
Zincs Yates Cafu Mighten
Grabban Carvalho

I have no idea who will play left back. Bong surely is too precious to risk now that Soh is injured?

If Gabriel does not play at least we will know he is defo on his way out, being a Cup game he won't be able to play for his new team.

No he’s right footed.

But he is the next one off the production line.

I thought I had read somewhere is was more of a No.8 as opposed to being a full back?? Or have the club tried him in different positions and he slots in well in defence?
