At the time in the summer I could not understand why we were chasing Pantilimon so hard.

He was even playing hard ball and wasn't willing to sign at first.

Better goalkeepers like Sam Johnson were available at the time.

When Pantilimon was here last season he did nothing in my opinion to warrant us signing him permanently in the summer.

It is such an imporatant position and one that we are lacking in at the moment.

His daughter was sick in hospital.

Hopefully she has made a full recovery.

I don't want to be critical after such a fantastic game last night but Pantilimon needs taking out of the firing line.

His confidence is shot. Time for Steele to be given a go between the sticks.

I think it’s too late now.

The run of games is too fast to bed someone in until the FA Cup 3rd Round.

Whoever comes in just won’t have enough time between matches to really settle, one or two mistakes, and he’d be dropped never to be seen again.

I don't want to be critical after such a fantastic game last night but Pantilimon needs taking out of the firing line.

He doesn't seem to be the same keeper who played for Forest last season.  I don't know why that is.  But some of those goals last night?  The keeper has to claim them or save them.

Suspect at times.  Shame, he's a good character.

Thinking about that Villa performance, against a really good team, I see areas where Forest could improve to nail down a top 2 place.  What players do they bring in Jan' to make sure they 'win' that game last night?  (Some may argue, that's as good an attack as Forest have or will come up against all season..?  Premiership quality in that Villa side?  And maybe that is where Dawson and Robinson struggled?  That's where a really top drawer keeper and a confident one may have stopped a couple of those goals? i.e. to 'have their back.')

But, as a comparison to the last time they met at the City Ground last season?  That's some progress!

Forest gave Villa some hammer.  I feel Forest should have won that.  But credit to Forest's hierarchy, Aitor and the team that they didn't.

Forest in former times would have done under.  That didn't happen.  A great goal to make it 5-5.

I have to agree regarding Pantilimon.

I think Karanka needs to be a bit ruthless here.

Having a top class goalkeeper (something I think we don't have) could be the difference between promotion or not.
