Goalkeepers - Salvatore Matrecano - 02-07-2018
Assuming Pants signs (which I am very happy about) we will have 5 first team goalkeepers.
Pantillimon who will be first choice plus:
Kapino
Smith
Henderson
Evtimov
Then in the U23s we have:
Bossin
Erlandson
Wright
Pretty obvious some need to move on therefore from the above, who do we keep as 2nd and 3rd choice, who will be loaned, who will leave?

I wouldn’t class Evtimov as a first team GK
Pretty sure, Evtimov and Hendo will be gone. Kapino also likely to go IMO

Evtimov is officially first team squad even if he hasnt played. He is 25 now I think and never had much first team experience with anyone, may struggle to shift him. I agree Hendo will go if he gets an offer, my thought is Jordan gets a season loan and Kapino stays as No.2 with Bossin 3rd choice.

Is Kapino still in contract? Was thinking we could do with a 2nd goalkeeper, if Pantilimon picks up any injuries during the season we're screwed (although our defence will hopefully be tighter now)

I agree but thought I had read somewhere that Kapino had already gone.

Evtimov only has a year left, wouldn’t surprise me if they paid him up along with Ward & Traore

Kapino not on big money - was reportedly on 5k at Oly and we took over his contract.
It’s whether AK sees him as a better bet than Smith as Nr 2.
If he does then Jordan will prob go on loan with Bossin being 3 rd choice.
If not then they will try to move Kapino on you would think

My guess is that Kapino is only still here until we sign Pantillimon, then he'll be gone.
Like Pantillimon is only at Watford until they sign Foster.
