Hopefully he didn’t go for his first choice…

No, his contract expired on the 28th June

It's going to have to be Forest who announce this, as Dane and Taymour have burnt their bridges with Barnsley

More from DTaylor:

"Murphy currently in America but #NFFC looking forward to him starting. As per previous reports, his contract at Barnsley expired at the end of June. So no need for a notice period and no compensation. Ioannis Vrentzos is returning to Greece after four years in the role."

This is great news. Whatever the outcome good or bad we seem to be trying to rectify mistakes of the past and are taking a completely different approach. EM deserves some credit for that, it also confirms his continuing investment in the club. Lets hope for much better things to come.

Murphy has been removed from the Barnsley Club website, he was showing as CEO yesterday but now no longer. Welcome to Forest (Great) Dane!

Good news, now lets hope that we see a vast improvement with the new guys at the helm.

Maybe he could bring Daryl Dike with him from America?

Looking at these changes and reading the back stories of the new management team now being put in place, I am predicting exciting times regards player recruitment, not immediately but over the course of time. Owners & fans alike have to remain patient, but I believe a young hungry and entertaining team will be assembled in time, a similar playing style for ALL age groups of the club will be established, we may eventually produce an ethos that others may admire and copy as a blueprint for their own clubs, how satisfying will that be after so many years of the same old crap?
